I bought Age of Apocalypse: the Chosen out of the quarter bin. So while FCBD is supposed to bring people into the shop and get them spending money, I left only spending 27 cents But at least I come every Wednesday, so I'm forgivable.

And I think Heroclixs looks cool to play. I went out one time and bought a huge number of them but could never once get anyone to play with me. I eventually sold them all. The same with one of those old Marvel TCGs and Magic the Gathering. That's the problem when you're the lone comic fan. Everyone likes the movies, no body wants to mess with anything else.

But at least I got a friend and his wife into the Lord of the Rings TCG that was coming out when the movies were. Now I'm trying to get them into the LCG but they don't' want to because the pictures don't look like the movie. They're painted and based on the books more so. So frustrating. I'm about to sell those as well.

I have some friends into tabletop gaming, but they still don't want to bother with HeroClix or anything like that.

I never knew anyone who played Heroclix. My kid only played the card games.

Heroclix was fun, but I was terrible at it in competitive play. Couldn't stop myself from role-playing, so even though it makes more tactical sense for Superman to keep buzzing the weak support guys with his heat vision, I knew that he would tackle the bad guy's bruiser head on.

I collected a couple of the figures as singles, but never for play. Had to have the Gambit one of course.

I'm not into tabletops, though I enjoy the tie-ins for the Eberron series. I play Magic occasionally; Dragon Stompy.

Tabletops are fun. You get some Munchkin and some booze, you got a fantastic night.

Then again you got some D&D and a DM who takes it FAR too seriously you got a fun night as well...

I'm not allowed to play D&D anymore. They take it all too seriously and I was just there to have fun

I can see how it would be so immersive. Some folks just hate real life so much they'd rather stay in the fake world. You can have more control, especially the Master who designed the game. (My sis played old school, not with cards).

I would give it a shot if I could be part of Tracy Hickman's Killer Breakfast; those look fun.

I dont have anyone to play with either. Its fun but nobody here freakin plays, I've got both from when whizkids was making them and then after Neca bought them. I got Lady Loki in my first Marvel set I got after Neca started making them.

I like a middle ground of sorts, have fun but take it seriously enough. I once chased my brother around the map when he had just Dormammu left (for the hell of it we went sans the rules on markers and pushing and stuff). I got into it from MageKnight. A babysitter got me into that.

I've always wanted to try some sort of role playing game. I actually have two other friends who were interested, one of them having played before, but we've just never quite done it. I even bought a Lord of the Rings rpg book to get us started. We're all LotR freaks, so I thought we'd be able to get that started. Maybe I'll give them a call to give it another try.

I'd definitely say go for it.

I also found RPG stuff for heroclix once years ago, printed it all off and still got that stuff in a drawer.
