I personally feel Indy was just simply keeping quiet about his experiences in India the year before but that's just how I look at it.

That's wonderful for you but in the end it's just a meaningless fan theory and fan theories only paper over gaffs, they don't explain them. So ultimately we're left with a plot hole that won't be resolved, because at it's root Spielberg and Lucas either overlooked or ignored it and in the end it's still a mistake.

It'd ultimately be up to Spielberg and Lucas for an official explanation.

I sometimes feel alone in liking all of them. Recently watched them all, still such an entertaining series to me.

I'll try to have an all-day marathon of them all sometime soon, been a while. It's fun to do but you've got to get up early on a day off and have hours of free time for it.

Spielberg and Lucas' excuse was that if it happened after Raiders of the Lost Ark, the villains would have had to be Nazis.

I don't get why that would be the case. Indy could've easily faced a multitude of different enemies and organizations even during the years of the Nazi regime.

They gave Indy that same stupid arc in the first three films.
I think Spielberg said they wanted Indy to go from being a sceptic to a theologian over the course of RotLA.
It might've been all right the first time, but it clearly was pointless the other times.

I believe the "official" explanation was supposed to be in one of the novels, were Abner taught Indy to always act the skeptic,as to keep his "professional integrity".

Now that Disney has bought Lucasfilm and that Paramount kept some of the rights i guess that seals Indy's future in films, has anybody seen redletter media's Indiana Jones IV review?

No what review are you talking about? Paramount kept some of the rights? Does that mean yes to Indy 5? or no?

As for the OP I'd say they are 8/10 across the board. Perhaps in this order:
Crusade
Raiders
Temple
Kingdom

it's in http://www.redlettermedia.com

And with

Quote:
In October 2012, The Walt Disney Company agreed to acquire Lucasfilm, granting Disney ownership rights to the Indiana Jones and Star Wars franchises.[1][2] However, although Disney owns the intellectual property, Disney CEO Bob Iger says that Indiana Jones was not initially factored to its equation during the deal, as Paramount Pictures continues to retain certain rights to future film installments of Indiana Jones.[3][4][5]
It mean it's less likelly any of the studios will go through all the trouble to make a 5th film

Aw...

I was actually kind of excited to see Shia fill Indy's shoes. Perhaps after one more go around for Old Man Ford.

Raiders
Temple
Crusade

Skull.......Bottom of my list. Watching old action Harrison was like watching old action Arnold. Just painful to watch. And I hate the inclusion of the Transformer kid being his son.

I never found him annoying, same with Willie. The way people feel about those two is how I felt about TLC's versions of Brody and Sallah, as well as Elsa.
