What film was made worse because of its devotion to source material?

I honestly shouldn't be surprised by this, but , that kind exists

-The blind loyalist suck-ups who act like their favorite super-hero films and anything coming out related to the characters are the best and can do no wrong while everything else fails or will fail,Then they feel to argue with others about their characters being the top #1 best like kids claiming their toys are the best.

Both are extremely childish/f'n posers and only half-way true fans..IMO!
I'll raise you the "salvishly loyalist to the director making that character films, he can do no wrong"

Ghost Rider?
-Sad But true

-Yeah them too

-The Ghost Rider movies were not all that devoted to the source material,Punisher:War Zone and Watchmen were and I think War Zone is a bad film But the devotion to the comics was not what hurt that film imo

Green Lantern, I would say. Not that it had only one problem, but its insistence on using some of the most silver age aspects of the mythos was definitely detrimental.

I hate when people complain about a film having a "damsel in distress".The reason for this is,Super Heroes (and yeah, heroes in general) save people from danger. And the most obvious thing to do is to make it personal for the hero,by putting their love interest into danger.

The reason you don't see many men in the victim role is because there isn't many Heroines headlining the movies.(The Wonder Woman Tv show had her save Steve Trevor all the time) So,my point is it's not a sexism thing.

A super hero doesn't need to save one particular person from danger. Of course super heroes will save people by virtue of bringing down the villain. There simply needs to be something greater motivating the hero to go after the villain than a damsel. Make it catharsis, make it a vendetta, make it something deeper.

I hate it when that single person is the DiD every blasted chapter of the story

Since the thread title is so tempting, that parody is awful, Dragonfly is a complete doofus, most jokes are awful, and I didn't feel sorry for RR's aunt dying in that all fart scene
And Leslie Neilsen in the cemetery scene was downright atrocious, nothing funny about it
