It's going to be Intresting to see A peroid film directed by Bryan Singer. So far Valyrkie has been only one he has done.

As for pic It's sign Xavier's In a messed up place. He has gone from Idealistic time of kennedy to time of Nixon. That messed people up.It may take learning about the future to get him on right path again.Maybe In timeline before the time travel him being In messed up shape for too long set things In motion.

Assuming we both have a collection of old photos of us in a 70s wardrobe?

Well he doesn't even cool.

Even if he's going through his depression stage or the messy stage of his life, they can still make him look cool.

He looks very cool. The 70s stuff seems like it's going to be totally cool.

That chair looks huge! I makes James look extra slim. I'm loving the seventies already.

There's always been a problem with comics Xavier in that most writers have no idea what to do with him. He's always been "boring" in a sense. Looks to me like Singer knows exactly how to make him interesting.

Exactly. I think James did an interview about FC where he said Charles has always portrayed as the saintly eunuch and that they instead wanted to give the character some life.

Believe me, you don't want to remember the 1970s, terrible decade, especially in NYC (aside from the clothes and hair!).

I wonder if they are now working with the FC cast as Hugh has been back in NY at least since Thursday.

Well, I really loved his look in First Class, he was gorgeous, but I was a bit worried that we would see Charles looking all trim and proper with his nice suits in the sequel. I didn't even like that he was wearing a suit at the end of First Class, because after all that happened to him he wouldn't be trying to look all sophisticated, especially in an empty school. It looked so off-putting.

I think this is more the Charles I expected in the sequel - not caring about how he looks like anymore, not trying to impress the ladies, a bit worn out and depressed. I believe he won't look like this throughout the film, anyway - but we have to see that something changed inside Charles that has yet to be repaired.

Young Charles is suppost to be in a dark place in this film, makes sense really when you think he lost alot in 1st class, it is probably just him and beast now

Just because he looked well dressed at the end of FC doesn't mean he couldn't have had a break down sometime later

I lived in the Bronx until I was 5. The playground I went to turned out to be one of the Son of Sam's hangouts. And I started kindergarten three months after Etan Patz disappeared on his way to the school bus. They were practically walking us directly from the the school door to our parents every day to make sure we weren't going home alone. I didn't even know why at the time, I found that out years later.

But I still remember seeing Star Wars in the Bronx when it first came out. That was awesome.

And one of the things I liked about Charles in First Class was that he was that he partied, and that his opening narration in the original films were just pickup lines. Obviously, his heart and mind were set in the right place, and he was still obviously Charles Xavier, but he was still a very typical young guy, and there was still some maturity that he needed to attain.

I was petrified with Son of Sam since I fit his M.O. and lived I Queens. My future sister-in-law knew one of the victims. That was the decade of "hide your chains" on the subway since they would be snatched, and now people play with their IPhones, Ipads, etc. on the subway! And only one car on the subway train was in service after 7:00 and there was a cop on every train. And you couldn't even walk through Times Square, it was all porn houses and peep shows. Odd-even days for gasoline and there were gas lines around the block, and that lasted for months. An poor Etan Patz, I wonder if we will ever find out what happened to him. Terrible decade.

Back to our regular programming....

Woah man

This pic is like the furtherest thing from OT!Charles and FC!Charles. I like. I guess it fits with the idea of Charles being messed up, at least at the start of the film. I didn't mind that they didn't explore it at the end of FC, but I'd feel cheated if they just glossed over everything that happened to Charles at the end of that film. This and the comments from James definitely got my hopes up.

My mom fit the Son of Sam profile too. She said they were afraid to even stand near their windows. It was crazy.

People complain about what a tourist trap Times Square is now (and it is, and it's awful), but I'll take over that over what it used to be. It was actually scary there when I was a kid. I started working in NYC just as the last of the X-rated video stores and theaters on 42nd St were closing down.

The first movie I saw on 42nd St once it was cleaned up? X-Men.
