My worst fear is that, and here is my fault, knowing basically what happens in the movie ( krypton, smallville/metropolis battle, all the little thing like the fortress, the Baby kal being naturally born ) I fear that the movie gives nothing to me, no turning point, no climax that hasn't been already read in the spoiler or in the kid's books..

My fear is they may have gone too far in shaking up the mythos. I was already kind of annoyed that we'd be getting the Donner ghost dad mentor again. But now it could be that it's flesh-and-blood Jor-El on Earth. That's starting to cross a line from the origin to an Elseworlds type story.

I've figured something out we keep going round in circles on here, one week it's the height argument, next week it's the trunks, etc etc just shows you how long we've been waiting for this film really. But yeah I do think these arguments are and have always been kind of silly especially now as we've actually seen a fair amount of footage

Same here. Like someone else said earlier on in the thread, I hope that MoS will be its own thing and they can think of the eventual JL tie-in later on.

My fear is that there will be a small child crying or someone constantly talking during the film.

Pet peeve. Real rude. Had that happen to me during one of my times watching TASM with my little bro that had never seen it before. They were constantly loud and trying to guess what was gonna happen next.

Every time that happens I get the urge to get up and scream real loud at them. They need to hear it, someone has to say it!

This has always been my favorite part of the Superman movies! Jor-El's relationship with Kal-El.

<--He (me) will be crying, no doubt. I don't care what anyone thinks, but I am already planning on taking a few handkerchiefs with me to the movie. That is how emotionally I am invested in this character. My first and favorite super hero...

Yeah me too.

I was watching Star Trek: Into Darkness for the second time the other day and was of course crying (because it just gets to me ), and suddenly my eyes started stinging. I was aware that a) people around me could see me frantically wiping the tears from my eyes, which must have looked quite funny and b) My eyes were so blurry and sore, I was actually missing some of the film.

This has now become a legitimate concern. I shall be wearing no make up to the cinema now, as I think that contributed to the stinging.

Yeah I know it's inevitable, I've seen it happen in all the other forums. I've just never seen it happen to us...

Not to mention pointless. You'd think if fanboys learned anything from RDJ and especially Tom Hardy it's that height can be convincingly faked.

Yes, and Bale isn't exactly that tall either.

Especially if there is just a 2 inch difference between Cavill and Superman. You probably wouldn't be able to see the difference between a guy that's 6'1 and a guy that's 6'3 in real life from afar either.
