She was definitely going down that route, as you can hear when she shakes Rogue and tells her: "Nuttin's wrong with you."

That ain't Storm. That's just a ghetto sista's stiletto stride away from neck-rolling, finger-waving 'tude...

I agree with X-Maniac. She was definitely in sista-gurl territory in X3. And what a stark difference from the more regal and timid version we saw of her in X1. After the third film I just simply concluded that Storm had multiple personalities and was likely bi-polar. The woman was like a box of f***ing chocolates--you never knew what was inside from one film to the next!

Yes, I have a hard time reconciling the Storm of X1 and X3 at all. Accent aside for a moment, they're still like night and day.

And also agree about SistaaStorm™ in X3 as well. She was sassing all over the place.

She was not! By that point she is bascially head mistress of the school. Cyc was out of the picture, wolverine being an arse in training with students, she had a right to be a little irritated and sassy. But it wasn't sista storm, stop stereotyping black women!

I sure if Rogue or Kitty are "angry" no one would call it ghetto or "sista girl".

I just realized something in this X3 clip:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XBjf1...FL3VEzbNxcejwA

Storm hurled Callisto at least 10 feet (if not more) onto that fence before she summoned the lightning down. As Callisto was flying through the air, she was spinning, much the same way Storm had transported Logan and herself in the Danger Room sequence.

Am I to believe that Storm created a micro-tornado there to carry Callisto such a far distance? Her eyes were white at that moment. And there's no way Storm could have managed that feat in sheer physical strength alone as both women were evenly matched and about the same size and height. Thoughts?

Maybe Storm used her wind powers to spin herself (like she did earlier) to give her the momentum and augment her strength enough to throw Callisto that far? I'm not sure I'd say a mini tornado carried Callisto, but it's not very clear.

Personally, I'm super disappointed with what I'm hearing from Halle Berry. I mean, what's the f***ing point of having the character at all then? We already have Rogue. Do ALL of the heroines need to be passive in the cinematic adaptation of one of Marvel's most popular storylines? Total s***.

Perhaps Halle isn't clued into what the production has planned in terms of CGI and stuntwomen, etc. I can at least hope.
Praying what you said is true. Praying hard as hell, I don't think I can make it thru yet another X-Men movie where Storm is not used correctly.

See, I actually liked when Storm got all sassy. To me, it showed she was proud of who she was and believes any mutant should be proud.

We keep being given this "50%" treatment with storm...it's like drinking diet pepsi. We're always leaving the theater wondering what coulda/woulda/shoulda been with her. I don't know what the hell is up...it's almost like the character (along with scott and to an extent rogue) are just cursed beyond redemption in this studio's movieverse.
all of this!!!!! ^^^^^^^^^^^

Halle Berry's Storm is just such a controversial sore spot for fans of this franchise. It's like this gigantic scab that won't heal properly. Comments like the ones Halle made today "pick" at that scab, making it raw all over again.

For example, she'll get on talk shows and say s*** like, "Fans really love my depiction of Storm" when in reality most people hate her portrayal of the character. And it just makes everyone hate her more. For someone like me--who is a huge Storm fan--it's quite irritating to see my most beloved character constantly being dragged through unneccessary stuff like this...and so consistently at that.

From statements like "I've been reduced to playing comic characters" to today's comments, Halle just keeps saying stuff that basically shoves a stick in the fan beehive.

ALL OF THIS!!!! ^^^^^^^^ PREACH!!! Ugh I'm loving this thread i'm reading it all! #TeamStorm <--- all day

I don't even complain anymore...you can't do anything about it...until her contract is up and they decide to recast...it is what it is. I just want Halle to do the best she can do with what she's given.

I have faith. I think Storm was quite good in X2 (though she got more screentime & special effects and better hair in X3). Bryan knows what to do, now he just has to do it.

Her character was growing throughout the movies. After Nightcrawler talked to her in X2, it was only a logical progression. He clearly had an impact on her, just like Mystique clearly had an impact on him after their talk.

Let's be honest the only character that's allowed learn something from the previous film is wolverine

Storm in X3 was more of a forced progression

^ Not really to me either. And Storm was far from a ghetto "sista-gurl" in X3.
