Ugh... I don't like any of those casting possibilities. I see Chris Cooper as a fit for Jim Gordon for a Batman series, but the two other's don't fit those profiles. Actors being cast as a character of a different race? Could Storm be played by an actor with pale pink skin? I don't get it.

Exactly. That's why this guy could be Octavius.

A consistency with bad choices ... that is scary ... and likely to be the case.

Oh well, still have comics-Ock (I guess) and our imaginations.

Could anyone convince me that Carolyn Trainer is a character worth caring about?

Are you nuts? of course she's worth caring about. Her, Stunner and Ock are a dynamic triad of dysfunction - and prop each other up nicely.

I've only recently started following Marvel again, after a long hiatus. Is it true that Octavius is now Spider-Man? That seems just totally bonkers.... what do true Ock fans think of this state of affairs? It seems like a rage-inducing twist to me.... did I hear wrong?

I hope you're all reading Superior Spider-Man because Octo-Spidey is on fire in it.

The latest issue was incredible. Otto is up-scaling BIG time. Oh and

I gotta say, I'm looking forward to seeing Stunner again. I'm glad that Dan Slott is dusting off old characters. I wonder if Otto will try to form a new relationship with her.

Then again

Spoiler!!! Click to Read!:
I wonder the same thing about the Black Cat, who will be appearing in Superior soon. After all, Otto has been looking to score with MJ and was shot down. Maybe he will have better luck with Cat.

Yes, I'd imagine he would be a unlockable character though and not available from the beginning.

NO

I love the Superior Spider-Man title. Best the Spidey comics have been in YEARS.

Once the next movie rolls up, Peter's going to be back in some capacity--either ousting Doc Ock or in his own separate continuity. Besides, you know how "permanent" things are in comic books...

Speaking of the next movie, anyone see that behind-the-scenes picture on the Hype's front page with the big "Sinister 6" on the wall?

Spoiler!!! Click to Read!:

Wonder what that means, if anything.
