I don't like short ears, I don't want to be like Adam West Batman type ears. Arkham City's Batman had them just right.

@caped wonder Love that style suit, only thing i'd tweak are the shin guards and the guantlets, slim them down a bit, other than that, it's pretty cool

I would LOVE to see that on the big screen. Just about perfect. It's simplicity that is the key. I love the way the cowl and cape work together, it's the perfect balance between human physic and armored looking, the colors are perfect, just streamline the gauntlets and shin guards (which is nitpicky) and it is the perfect Batsuit. |

I love the Arkham City suit but the underwear look rediculous and i don't want ANY film adaptation of Batman having them. That goes for every superhero with anything that even resembles underwear above the pants.

If someone could meld the McDaniel suit fabric/cowl design, with the Risso Broken City armor underneath aspect, with the utilitarian Bermejo suit, and the Neal Adams/Graham Nolan (but black) cape it would be perfect.

It looks like it is intended to be in the Neal Adams style. It looks like the kind of generic art frequently used in marketing, packaging and the like.

I think the last Batsuit contains elements that they can never leave out. Batmans neck being able to turn and what not is one of them. A one piece cowl is simply not going to work anyone. A solid looking one piece suit is simply not going to work anymore. Costume designers know about it now and actors/directors are going to prefer the mobility.
Though I do want to see short ears. Maybe a solution is to put them more on the sides of the head and less on top.

Looks like they've swapped the suit for the New 52 version in promotional materials as this is from target's new Justice League Line,

After seeing the MOS cgi cape, I'd be down for a real cape like Nolan's most of the time with cgi enhancements to close and bellow out and stuff like the animated series.

But that's only if the suit is made of rubber. If they use the materials used in Man of Steel for Supes and Zod, I think a one piece cowl/cape is possible. Or they could use segments but still keep it attached. The only way to improve the batsuit is to think beyond what's already been done. To do something that's never been done before, you have to try ways that have never been tried before.

He never did wear "Underoos", or Spandex, or any other supposed material that you think is funny.

Forgive my obvious lack of experience in the costuming department...but if we wanna see groundbreaking costumes for the new Batman, why not work with something like fabric or other useful materials instead of the same old rubber?
@Hafiz, isn't the Man of Steel costume still made out of rubber? |

It's still a joke term and it' a stupid one meant as an insult, used by fans who, for some strange reason, have a problem with the trunks. I don't care where you got it. it's still a term that only unimaginative fans use, one of the more unimaginative terms I've seen in the forty plus years I've been a DC Comics fan.

Just get the people who made the suit for MOS to do their thing...
There's no reason we can't get a more comic accurate Bat-suit (and still have it look cool) in this day and age.

Definitely. And to those who say such a suit wouldn't work in a live action movie, I say, you can't possibly know that unless you try (and fail). Let's at least give it a shot for once.
