I agree with the top three, also adore the choice of Young. Say what you will of SM3, but his score was phenomenal.

They need to sell the farm to get Anthony Gonzalez doing this. Just listened to the oblivion soundtrack, and its the best I've heard in years. His blend of Hans Zimmer with todays snares and kicks is where summer blockbusters are heading towards

Since Superman/Batman is also a sequel to Man of Steel, it seems logical to assume, beyond any creative or schedule clashes, that Hans Zimmer will resume his composing duties. Since Mr. Zimmer has already dabbled in Batman, the question that immediately arises is if he will reuse motifs and sounds from the movies he scored to this new, totally unrelated Batman. If he does, will he be tasked by Snyder to compose a full theme for batman as he has done for Supes? I wonder what a full theme using the motifs of Nolan's Batman might sound. If he doesn't, how much different can he make it? Because after all he is a composer of his own self with his own soundscape he is comfortable playing in. Perhaps, recognizing this, he goes in a radically different direction altogether. Will this be good or bad? Will an additional composer be brought in to do Batman's score. Will the sounds of that hypothetical composer be in congruence with the sound of Zimmer?

Questions. Speculation. Dark days await. Great days.

My fanboy wet dream: Zimmer stays on to score the Superman side of things. Elfman comes on board to score Batman once again, but with a fresh interpretation.

I think it'd be great to have a meeting of the titans for the score to match the meeting of the titans on screen.

Zimmer is doing ASM2? Looks like he gets the distinction of scoring the big three.

Zimmer is going to compose whatever the director will ask of him. Superman got a theme, so I assume Snyder will ask for a Bat-theme, too.

And Zimmer's scoring TASM2.

I really hope Zimmer's not doing Batman/Superman. I love his work, but give someone else a chance. I know for sure his Batman theme at times will sound a little like his Nolan Batman theme, and I don't want that.

But if Zimmer scored Supes and Elfman scored Bats, I'd be all for that.

Gotta agree. Zimmer is undoubtedly very skilled, but I am starting to get bored of him.

God no. *shudders*

The new Batman composer should go back to the wonderful sound established by Shirley Walker, Elfman, and Goldenthal. Something brooding, memorable, and not that wall of sound made popular by Zimmer.

Speaking of Zimmer, it's inevitable that he will be scoring Snyder's "Batman/Superman" movie. Maybe he'll use that wonderful theme for Batman he used in BB, but scrapped for the sequels.

I'm tired of Hans Zimmer. So, please, no Hans Zimmer again.

I could get behind Daft Punk; every time I listen to "Outlands" on the TRON Legacy soundtrack I think of the Batmobile racing through the streets of Gotham, and "Derezzed" is always good for picturing Batman 'going to work' at any Gotham nightclub.
