I never heard about the Supernova thing, but if its that blue effect, I love it!

been trying to do that type of effect, but I never finish it, lol

Yes it's the blue background piece, just use the lens flares and radial blurs to create them

Pretty simple, you can customize after you make them. Use Warp or Distort transform controls to bend them to your needs.
