Yeah they barely put any features in DVDs.

DVDs are obsolete. If you still watch your fav movies on DVD your really missing out.

Anyway, the movie WILL NOT be 2 hours and 16 minutes. Sorry but no. Those are 100% unconfirmed place holder times.

The real run time has not been released, those are simply pure placeholders.

I'm speaking for the people who are still buying DVDs.

Outside of U.S. and Europe, Blu-rays are expensive and major studios still release DVDs to their movies and TV shows.

I didn't know where to put this, but speaking of The Wolverine; Wolverine by Claremont and Miller was rereleased in hardcover, and I was wondering if anyone got it and does it feature anything new or differences that make it stand out? Thanks

What I'm most afraid of, and maybe people who are die-hard Wolverine fans and are looking forward to this movie can prove me wrong, but I kinda dislike the "emo" direction they're taking with Wolverine. The CGI Subway scene also looks really poorly done.

Other than that, Silver Samurai as the villain and the potential for Berserker Rage to show up is definitely interesting to see.

They want to give the character some sort of pathos because a one-dimensional protagonist isn't a sure-fire general audience crowd pleaser.

Ehh. Blu Ray is such a minimal step up that studios had to gut DVDs to make them worthwhile.

Rewatched the entire series over the week, it's interesting to see the evolution of the franchise, good or bad. This looks to be a unique addition. Cannot wait for it to hit.

I agree! And the one of the best things about this franchise is how it was one of the first superhero series from Marvel and 12 years later, a lot of superhero film series has been rebooted but this one is still on-going.

I just ordered it, and I should get it in a few days. I guess I can tell you in a few days. Although from reading the Amazon page it has higher quality paper and color.

Edit: If you look at Amazon, somebody just posted a review.

I think Mariko is the most intriguing part of the film to me right now.

Had a brief e-mail exchange with an old friend of mine, who also happens to be the head of marketing and distribution for Fox in Denmark. (And also a real no nonsense guy)
I asked him, what the word of mouth was for The Wolverine, and asked if it was more X2/First Class than Origins.

He answered like Jim Dalrymple: Yep!

My gut feelings based on what i have seen and heard lead me to believe this film Is more in the good films catergry with X-Men,X2,and first Class and not in the bad catergry of Origins
and Last Stand.

With july almost hear before long there will be press screenings for film and publicacy will hit full speed.

I hope your right, the setting is really great and different compared to most other Marvel films being pretty much America focused. Which is kind of understandable considering thats where most are based and come from.

But this has a chance to be really unique and I love the whole Eastern/Japanese culture of Samurai and Ninja's etc and Wolverine fits in obviously well with this, just dont want to get over hyped for this film like Origins.

I saw World War Z today (which was godawful), and they had cardboard standees of Silver Samurai, Viper, Yukio, and Wolverine at the theater.

If the movie is good, I hope we get early critics reviews to give the film more buzz.
