One thing to consider for box office.a lot of people thought World war Z was going to get lost around man of steel and new pixar film.It had very good opening and some decent reviews.I am hoping similar things for the Wolverine.

World War Z is a surprise hit! It did very well at the box-office!

Hopefully The Wolverine could earn at least 60 million in its opening weekend!

It certainly could. I can see it doing as much as origins domestically: about 180M.

But unlike World War Z, let's hope The Wolverine doesn't suck.

They also showed The Wolverine trailer before the movie today.

The guy behind me said, "That looks awesome."

The more it has in common with that film the better, really like the Last Samurai even though critics gave it pretty mixed reviews.

Hope The Wolverine has that sort of feel too, although of course set in a different time.

Promotion schedule coming together (I presume this will be before Comic Con)

Quote:
Hugh Jackman to Visit Korea in July

Hugh Jackman will visit Korea next month to promote his new film, the film’s promoter said on Monday.

Twentieth Century Fox Korea said through a press release that Jackman and director James Mangold will arrive in Korea on July 14 and hold a press conference and a red carpet event the following day to promote their new film “The Wolverine.”

The film tells Wolverine’s voyage to modern-time Japan where he faces in a lethal battle and faces his physical and emotional limits, making him powerless for the first time. The action blockbuster focuses on Wolverine’s inner conflict against his unending life and great power.

This will Hugh’s fourth time to visit Korea and in 2009, he was appointed as the PR ambassador of Seoul city, the promoter added.

Meanwhile, this is the first time for director James Mangold, who directed “Walk the Line” (2005), and “3:10 to Yuma” (2007), to visit Korea.

The film will be released in 3D format in Korean theaters on July 25.

Mangold tweets:

James Mangold ‏@mang0ld 20 Jun
Last three days of mixing. Then we are done. I am exhausted but I will miss this team.

James Mangold ‏@mang0ld 18h
As of 1am, the mix is complete. FInished. The color is timed. Done. Titles. Check. 3D will take one more week. Sigh. Gonna lie down.

Yeah, even though he didn't mention it I do hope Mangold has seen this film and has taken some elements from it.

Im no Jean Gray fan but that poster is pretty damn cool. Lovin the style of the advertising for this film, all the posters look great, something a bit different from the normal comic book posters we usually get.
