I think there's a potential for a X-Men/Fantastic cross-over film if done right and the FF reboot turned out to be a success!

One of the things that just showed from the studio’s point of view, I haven’t traded emails with him and talked to him with what I’m up to, but the reality is… I think what Mark’s doing and more so what people here are trying to do is just make everything line up in some way, but also at the same time to keep each filmmaker being able to tell a story that works. I honestly have felt, and maybe it’s the luck of this particular project or maybe it’s the way that things are going to operate now, but I feel that we’ve just done what we’ve felt like we should do and the studio has supported it. It’s honestly been a really lovely process.

The Wolverine and DOFP were set up before Millar arrived. His involvement probably won't show till post DOFP, starting with FF. Which will more then likely be based on his Ultimate run.

You'll see his involvement from The Wolverine's post credit scene. Bryan and Millar spoke well before DoFP started filming.

True that. Though the credit sequence on Wolverine is probably as far as it goes. I highly doubt he has had any input with DOFP.

His involvement with FF and future X flicks will be far more involved since he's been there since scripting.

I wasn't sure if that was before filming started on DOFP though. I remember Bryan's twitter account has been pretty active with his DOFP way before there was that interview where Bryan says he's never spoken, much less met with Millar. But maybe my timeline is off?

Think it was early March. I'll google, can't remember all this **** haha.

Edit: Yeah, they met sometime in mid March. So close to shooting.

I don't really want to see a XM/FF crossover. I could see them doing one but only for a financial, not creative purpose. It would just be odd, since I highly doubt they would meet up more than that one movie.

To be honest, neither do I. Not in a bad way, but to me it would be a waste. If they did another xmen movie i would love to see them do apocalypse or something else. I rather see xmen and avengers than xmen and F4, and we won't get a xmen avengers crossover anytime soon soooooo.

Instead of consulting, Mark Millar should help polishing the script of FF's script. I'm not a fan of him but I think he's talented enough to create a good story for a Fantastic Four film. I really want that movie to be a success!

Mark needs to focus more on F4 and less on X-Men if you ask me. Build some buzz around it or something to get people interested; and update or a few tidbits from Trank and co. Remind people it exists for crying out loud.

It sounds impossible now.

But I'm pretty sure most of you will get excited when you finally see these two superhero teams in a screen together.

And Fantastic Four working with the X-Men is more realistic than X-Men teaming up with the Avengers. The world of MCU is so large and different to the world of X-Men. Mutants are hated by the society, the superheroes of The Avengers are not. With the Fantastic Four, FOX could just put them in space.

He doesn't name any more specific franchises or characters that might be on the studio's radar, but Millar does reveal that the plan is to build towards something big that has yet to be announced. Check out the video interview after the jump..

Collider nabbed Mark Millar for a one-on-one chat at SDCC last weekend and asked him about Kick-Ass 2 and his role as Fox's go to guy for their Marvel superhero franchises. Millar explains a little about what he's been doing for the studio, but says he can't get too specific because it all ties into some big announcement that may be as long as 2 years away. He says they've been looking at bringing on new talent (Millar was influential in Kick-Ass 2 director Jeff Wadlow coming on board X-Force) and are currently talking to more directors -- but what would they be directing? Well, we don't get any specific names but Millar reckons Fox have at least 5-10 “gold franchises” on their hands. The relevant stuff comes in around 6:20.

5-10 potential franchises, eh?...... I like how that sounds!

Yes. And he's done it before, namely with Superman. He's been known to over-exaggerate and lie.

He works for Fox on their marvel films. So what he says Is important.

I don't some's hate for him.Since MS/Disney Is basing a good deal of their films
on ultimate comics especilly the Ultimates which was written by him.The avengers has been called loosly based on the Ultimates. The looks for costumes are coming from ultimate books. And Tony Stark,Nick Fury,Black Widow, and
hawkeye are based more on ultimate versions.

Well we know he was right on X-Force.He mentioned talking to fox on that and It's It's devolpment with the director of Kick ass 2 writing and possibly directing.

Some on this board don't like him because he prefered the Dark Knight rises over the avengers. And some non-X-Men fans may be upset he called X2 one of best comic book films.
