Anyone know the name of the episode or mini-movie where its Two-Face focused and there is a train that gets flooded and a giant coin falls on Two-Face at the end? I think its in the same episode or maybe its two separate ones. Either way I used to have it on a stand alone VHS and I lost the VHS and I don't remember the episode names. Thanks for any help.

'Shadow of the Bat'

It's a Batgirl-centric two-parter.

Ah, good times. This is the one that we used to start our review series (a series I hope to get back to soon.) I happen to think the episode is better than most.

Anyone else find it a bit funny that this show was darker and more mature than the live-action Batman films at that time?

I sort of agree with this but I don't think the show had any episodes darker than BR. If that was the case parents and soccer moms would've been whining about this show being too dark and mature for kids. As they did with BR. I think B:MOTP fits with what you're asking as well. It's very mature and dark for an animated movie. It was a lot more mature than people were (or in this case weren't) expecting. That's probably why it didn't do too good. Other than the poor advertising and release date. That's what I loved about B:TAS and MOTP both kids and adults can enjoy it.

Trivia
Quote:
  • "Cybertron" is the name of the planet the Autobots and Decepticons came from in the popular series Transformers.
  • First appearance of Barbara Gordon (production-wise).
  • William Sanderson, who plays Karl Rossum, is perhaps best known for his role in the cult classic movie "Blade Runner", which shares a very similar subject matter to this story.
  • The Director's Commentary for the second part of this episode states that Randa Duane's appearance was modeled upon that of Marilyn Monroe which is very apparent itself.
  • Karl Rossum's surname comes from the 1921 Czech play, "R.U.R". by Karl Capek, which introduced the word "robot" into the English language. The title stands for "Rossum's Universal Robots". Another reference to the play is Randa Duane's licence plate, which reads "RUR".

I love the HARDAC episodes. It's Batman meets Terminator.

The mechanical walking suitcase with the one beady eye at the beginning was hilarious. The way it looks at Batman when he first appears in the elevator.

I like Rossum and the style of his creations..kinda sad to see him in later episodes by himself, his only company being his creations..
