Very believable for the part of someone whos a billionaire tycoon who has fooled the world.
Yeah... presence... I guess that's what you could call this...

Im sure you think Harrison Ford sucks too.

You can find a bad moment for any actor.

No, but the point is, with Zane, it's hard NOT to find a bad moment. I'll give you his role in Titanic (which was directed by James Cameron, who can make Sam Worthington look like a competent actor) and his cameo in Zoolander.

Everything else? Yeech.

Bradley Cooper has been discussed here right? He's been long rumored to join DC Comics as either Lex Luthor or as the Flash.

Yeah, he was rumored for the role a while back. I think he could be good.

Being directed by James Cameron really doesn't mean anything. Sam Worthington was the same in Avatar as he always is. The reason Zane did so well in Titanic is because his role was written well and fit him like a glove. I don't see why people don't think he couldn't give a good Lex Luthor.

I suppose if Lex is a smarmy, pompous snob who talks in a faux English accent, he'd be fine. And I know Lex has been portrayed that way from time to time. But that's not the Lex I'd want to see. Yes, Lex is rich and views himself as superior to almost everyone, but (IMO) it should be because he IS superior to everyone. He's literally the most brilliant man on the planet and that power is essentially what corrupts him, even though he probably doesn't see it that way. Lex isn't just some uptight aristocrat type. But if Zane played him, I fear that is the type of Lex we would get. Even if he wasn't written that way, he'd come off that way.

Hey, I'm not saying Zan is the only choice for Lex, I was just pointing out that the reason people want him has nothing to do with being bald (Although that helped)

But he is a egomaniac.

Im not a Zanefan or anything. I do this he is a fit for Lex, and it has nothing to do with being bald Any actor can shave their head.

I just see him as one of the guys, who for reasons mentioned above, are exactly why he can get in front of cameras, reporters, etc and fool the world.

Titanic is a decent example of why he would do well in the part. Simply, the rich egomaniac part fits him well.

Edit: To add a odd dimension to Zane for Luthor, in the clip I posted, I just realized how much he resembles Brando.

I'd like someone left of field for Luthor. Someone with charm and charisma.

Colin Firth?

Heh, that's actually quite an interesting choice. He's one heck of an actor, and has never done anything like this.

I've wanted Colin Firth to play Dr. Doom. He'd be good for Luthor.

Matt Damon

He can play scary intelligent people (see Good Will Hunting).

He is very believable as a young, charming super-genius.

It'll be a bigger name but Neal McDonough would make a decent Lex

I could see believe it or not, Tom Cruise play Lex. Hell he played that jerk in tropic thunder and I almost didn't recognize him. Another is the popular choice of Denzel He'd own that role, too. If not those two I'd also go with Bradley Cooper as Lex he'd be able to play it off well.

Cruise could pull it off, but I'd rather he play Max Lord (assuming we ever see Max Lord in a movie).
