The effects were unfinished and it didn't look quite right - it should perhaps have been a wider sheet of rainwater.
I think it was just the fakeness of it, the water just didnt look right coming out of the clouds. Maybe if it was mastered better.

"A cloudburst is an extreme amount of precipitation, sometimes with hail and thunder, which normally lasts no longer than a few minutes but is capable of creating flood conditions. Colloquially, the term cloudburst may be used to describe any sudden heavy, brief, and usually unforecast rainfall."

Although it wasn't executed well visually (did they forget to turn on the fans to make her cape billow in the wind while she was suspended in mid-air? ), all Storm did was create a tornado--but out of water. Just as winds are pulled together into a vortex in one collected, focused place, Storm summoned the precipitation in the air (she likely increased amounts from the water surrounding Alcatraz) and psionically focused it on that crowd of mutants. Once the water hit the ground, she simitaneously created a wall of wind to drive it forward, thereby bulldozing and overwhelming the crowds. Basically, they were hit above AND from the front with the elements in a rapid, unexpected fashion as the cloudburst definition explains.

And of course, the Lightning Strikez part is easy.
Thats what I assumed she did, its just if the wave wasnt so fake looking.

As I thought storm will be only running again. She won't be strong or flying...

Yeah she has a stunt double so I'm pretty confident that she will at least fly!

And I can't wait for that revelation that Halle mentioned in her interview.

Berry stated that "there’s something very revealing and shocking about Storm in this movie. There are some things you find out about her that I think give you much more insight into who she is."

What could this be?

I'm thinking it's something to do with her past. Storm is the only character we know nothing about before X1. Everyone else has either appeared in flashbacks (Jean in X3), spin-off's (Cyclops in Origins) or had their backstory fleshed out in First Class.

I wouldn't mind seeing more of her lock picking skills and origins. Her claustrophobia would be amazing too!

Storm was in Wolverine: Origins

In novelization of the first X-men movie were scenes with young Storm. She was bullied by children and her powers manifested, her hair turned white and she created snow and ice storm, and attacked children. As i remember Xavier found her at that moment

The question is how much do you count deleted scenes?! As it didnt make the cut, did it really happen??

I really like the scene though, I think it's cool, but I can see how that scene now deleted will/could be ignored by future productions

Storm and Cyclops had origin scenes in X1, but they were cut from the script. You can find them in the novelisations.

Perhaps the "shocking" revelation is that movie-Storm has schizophrenia. Maybe that will explain why we've received 3 completely different characterizations of her over the last 13 years.

It may also explain why her elegant accent from X1 became a "sistah-gurl" twang by X3.

Her accent was so bad in the first that I'm glad the next two movies just had her speaking in her real voice.

Personally I liked the accent. And I definitely prefer it over the Sistah Gurl action we got in X3. Who knows...maybe she'll have a British Accent in DoFP.

Maybe her shocking secret is that she had a son ten years before X1.

He'd be 30 or so by DOFP.

Maybe in the future she has left the X-Men and is an African weather goddess.

Thats not much of a revelation though,it would just be what she was doing in the years following the XMen. But if she finds out that she is a weather goddess and the history of the priestesses with the white hair and blue eyes thing that would be awesome.

The revelation is that she is African. In was never said that she was African in the previous films, and the accent in the first one was so terrible that i could barely tell she was putting one on.

Oh god, please don't let her revelation be she's African. That's so...unbelievable for Halle Berry. She is entirely too light and bright for that continent to be taken seriously. LOL
