I think the colors have a lot ti do with the filter used in the film. Everything was slightly muted and darker..

the scout ship where he got the first one was never destroyed, only damaged, and was laying in the rubble of Metropolis... no doubt Superman picked it up and is keeping it hidden from surveillance

I hope so...but I was thinking last night that I'd love to see him use a cave in the side of a mountain that no man can get to as his new Fortress of Solitude. I mean like a HUGE cave so he can store the scout ship and other articles he collects over the years...and even carve the famous statue of his parents. I think that would be cool

Only improvement the suit needs is a mute button for all those still complaining about the trunks.

Best answer. Though, I wouldn't mind it if somehow the narrative requires Clark to fit his suit with armor, a la Jor-El before he took on Zod and his minions. The reason would have to be a significant enough to answer any question of why the Man of Steel would don his father's Kryptonian armor though, and the only ones I personally can think of is when either Doomsday or Darkseid show up.

The only...barely acceptable reason I could think of, is if it somehow was a barrier to kryptonite, but still not buying it.

I am, Superman wears an exo suit on several occasions. In WF animated he wore a suit that protected him against Joker's Kryptonite. It's possible something like will happen, even just for some added protection or style i would like something like Jor El's armor. Maybe a ceremonial thing when JLA is funded.

Btw : the suits the Kryptonian astronauts wore looked very similar to most of Lex's suits.

I will join the chorus for a suit that has shorts. I don't have any other issues with the current one, but I think he should have the shorts.

Lois makes it for him. Hmm, this could work with the trunks being added.

Lois:Clark, I made these for you to wear with your suit.

Clark:Why?

Lois:Because only I should get to see that much of you.

I really hope they use this concept for the sequel. Perhaps he redesigns the suit so it can have a less alien look; something more earth friendly.

Give him a non-functioning accent belt. Example:

truly makes the suit perfect imo

What is there to upgrade? He's just about invincible in this atmosphere system. And who would redesign him a new alien costume?

The government.

Or Superman himself, should the public still be uneasy about his presence.

The MoS design is great. Just saturate the colors a bit.

I know I'm probably in the minority at this point, but I still think they could have made the classic suit work... And really wouldn't mind seeing a version of it in the sequel.

Unless his suit gets damaged somehow I see no reason to change it.

I'm with the majority. The suit works for the universe it was created in. It just makes sense.

Only change should be Superman shaving his super-chest hair.
