Nope, in fact it makes them interesting for me as I've never really gravitated towards the zombie genre.

No. I've always been a zombie freak. The thoughts behind such a virus legitimately freaks me out. But I love it.

No, this show made me tired over uninteresting characters, one-note 'villains', and whiny women...

S1, and the middle of S3 did the least of the above and is the best for that reason.

But what if they write the zombies out of the show?

...then there'd be no show. The impending threat of the zombies as well as the fallout of a collapsed society is the catalyst for the characters actions and motivations. They're the main macguffin of the show. What does that even have to do with my answer to your question?

What if they write out the zombies...and replace them with hordes of Gary Buseys?

Why are you even giving him a response?

The tv series hasn't kept up that vibe yet. They've only killed off one really likeable major character (Dale) and that was because the actor wanted out. They need to get more ballsy.
The season three finale could've been bigger than GoT's Red Wedding if they had properly adapted the comic.

Looks like they've been taking some inspiration from Morgan in terms of decorations

I guess Rick didn't give the group the memo about how going out on horseback isn't going to help them against a swarm of walkers. *COUGH*Season 1 Pilot*COUGH* They must've ran out of cars & gas.

Can't wait for this fourth season. Back in July, I worked on a short film called " Habeas Corpus" that stars Chad Coleman aka Tyreese! It was the biggest film I have had the honor of working on. It will be screening at the Sundance Film Festival in September. I got the chance to meet Chad during filming and tried to get some info about season four of Walking Dead but he was tight liped ha.

He literally had left the set of Walking Dead, came to Virgina Beach for four days to shoot the film and went to Comic Con that following week to promote the new season. He is also a really cool down to earth guy, I enjoyed meeting him. When its posted on Youtube or Vimeo, I will be sure to share it with you guys here.

Also, what other store exclusives are there for the Season 3 blu ray? I know Target has the steelbook but what does Best Buy and Wal-Mart have?

It'll only be fixed when you've added another 4-5 a's.

Some interesting stuff from The Hollywood Reporter...

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/liv...poilers-617711
Quote:
Big comics episode planned
While the series is taking the above remix approach, EP Greg Nicotero previewed that an episode coming up later in the year is "almost verbatim" with one issue of the comic. "It's really fascinating to make those slight departures, introduce new characters and then get to a situation where you take one episode and you really stick to the source material. You'll be surprised about the way the characters lay out."
Quote:
Could Rick lose a limb? (Spoiler alert!)
While Rick and the Governor (David Morrissey) are yet to have their epic face-off -- the first of which in the comics [SPOILER ALERT] ends with the former's hand being brutally chopped off -- Alpert says that may still be in the cards. "It was one of those things where, given all the other things going on [in season three], we decided it was too much to put on. That's not to say we're not going to do it later, but there's too much of a burden." Adds Lincoln with a smirk: "I keep saying we should do it, so maybe that's going to happen!"
Quote:
The Governor will be different
The eye-patched villain will have gone through "some very heavy stuff," Gimple says. "It will weigh upon him and it will change him." Adds Morrissey: "He doesn't carry what happened at the end of season three very lightly. He was a man that recognizes a switch went off in his head and even though he's done terrible things, that ramped him up to somewhere else and he was out of control. That's a very worrying thing for him and that switch takes him into this dark place." While some time has passed between seasons, Morrissey said fans will have to "wait and see" if the Governor's look has changed to be more in line with his comic book counterpart. "It's about how he deals and comes to terms with the man he is and what he's capable of and which side he's going to fall on," the actor said. "That's the choice he has to make."
Quote:
Really get to know Tyreese
In the comics, Tyreese becomes Rick's right-hand man and now that he's part of the prison community, producers say the character will take center stage after Chad Coleman was promoted to series regular. "You meet a Tyreese you haven't seen before on many different levels -- it's some jaw-dropping stuff and there are other opportunities to make different characters face harrowing situations that expose so much more about who this man really is or what he's wrestling with," Alpert says.
Quote:
Split-season approach
With the season again split into two groups of eight episodes each, Nicotero said there will again be a story that essentially concludes in the midseason finale as a second story begins. The path for that story will be set up in the season premiere, which establishes new characters and introduces the mysterious new threat. "It's really the one episode of the season where there's a little bit of lightheartedness before the **** hits the fan," he says. "It doesn't last very long."
