I have to disagree, The shorter the movie, the more half-assed it is. Shorter movies dont give room for character development and story details, Everything would be rush and not give audience enough time to get to know the characters. So I hope the movie is near 2 hours in length and it should be PG-13 cause a large portion of that audience are people who grew up with the Turtles, And they will take there kids to see it.

The best run time a movie a movie can have is 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Or somewhere between that and 2 hours and 20 minutes.

That's way too long for most movies.

Sometimes movie are just a little above the 2 hour mark and sometimes they can be like 1 hour and 50 something minutes. You have to take into account the end credits counts toward the running time as well.

Well, the "Transformers" films did get adult with the implementation of pot brownies, sexual innuendo, not to mention the close calls of f-bombs. You also bring up a good point about the weaponry and if the Foot Clan are now carrying guns, I wouldn't be surprised if this film gets a PG-13 rating but we shall see.

I would be so happy if Casey Jones was in this movie.

First, who in their right mind is going to give a rat's ass what critics would think about a TMNT movie? Especially after this summer, the critics are pretty much worthless when it comes to movies for the GA.

Second, in this day and age of overly protective parents, I expect this movie to be no less than PG-13 because of the weapons alone. I think this movie is striving to appeal to a wide variety of people.

Out of curiousity, I remember something when the TMNT were big back in the day, and when the property started to make it's stamp overseas, there was a market that banned anything ninja, so they had to change the ninja out of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and they had to ban the use of Mikey using his nunchucks. They still do that to this day?

The 80s cartoon and associated merchendise was released under the name Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles. They also removed footage of Mikey using his nunchuks due to them being a popular weapon for real life gangs in Europe at the time.

All the movies were released under the original Ninja title. It also wasn't uncommon to see the odd bit of merchedise with the original logo and the Epic Begins was show in the UK with the original title also but the usage of nunchuks was also edited out. The interchangeable name was actualy the subject of parody at the time including a short story written by Neil Gaiman.

The 2003 show, the Imagi movie and all things associated with it was released were the ninja name and the usage of nunchuks intact. Not that it was much of an issue with the cgi flick.

If there's one silver lining with Bay's involvement it's that the people involved have the clout to be able to turn around to any company with money invested like Playmates or McDonalds with their Happy Meal tie ins and say "we make hit movies so we don't need to have a limit of action so kids can see or make characters and concepts specificaly to sell toys, that happens anyway". Sadly it doesn't look like that's happening to any great degree but still it's possible.

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to ask this, but does anyone still have the footage of the Turtle's talking on set? Where Mikey asks where's Raph?

I'd very much like to see it again.

^ Pretty sure those videos were removed completely a while ago. It is a shame because that was actually my favorite set video (even though you could barely see the actors. Hearing the turtles for the first time in this film was more the treat).
