I don't know if I'm just getting used to the awful 70s style, but it doesn't seem to look so bad in this pic.

That would be funny, but I don't think its going to happen.

They made the "Charles going bald" thing into a running joke in FC, so I wouldn't be surprised if they bring it up again here.

Yeah I can't see them resisting the joke this time around. It's a golden opportunity.

Maybe McXavier will read Wolverine's mind and discover the horrifying truth for himself.

You know sometimes, with the right outfit and hair, he looks really cute!

Hell, he's sexy with long, greasy hair, beard, flared jeans and wheelchair!

On the topic of his upcoming portrayal of Xavier, I'm very excited to see him as a depressed druggie struggling with his disability and, well, destroying Cerebro from tokin' up before using it. I like seeing different sides of characters - especially ones who are often portrayed to be almost saint-like as Xavier most often is. It fits in with that whole 'mutants are still humans' theme. The guy has flaws and makes mistakes. And having the elder Xavier there to reflect back upon his actions during that time will be pretty incredible. I'm stoked.

Agreed. He should still be on the prowl for ladies imo. Just think of the parties he could have at that mansion in the 70s.

This.
I think he's just naturally sexy and charming. James really doesn't need shirtless photoshoots or something to prove it. And he did one of the hottest sex scenes ever fully clothed, in Atonement.

They should have filmed a Blu-ray bonus scene where they turned Cerebro into a nightclub, with Patrick Stewart's Xavier as the DJ at the controls and everyone else grooving. We already saw Wolverine and Mystique dancing in that clip from the X1 shoot. Imagine if everyone was disco dancing!

Although in FC, it looked like the Spaceship Earth ride at Epcot Center.

james mcavoy on Days of future past

Quote:
"There’s an army of brilliant actors in that film," he said in an interview with IGN. "Bryan Singer is back at the helm. Potentially it’s going to be the biggest, most epic X-Men they’ve ever had. I think it’s the second biggest production Fox have ever embarked upon, behind Avatar. So they’re definitely going for it."

McAvoy also spoke about working with the cast, including a scene he shares with Patrick Stewart as the older Charles Xavier.

"His last day was my first day and that was it. Then we were done. But we did crossover and we do get a scene together. Getting to work with Hugh [Jackman] – who I christened Hugo Boss – was great....Getting to work with Michael [Fassbender] again was great. I spent a hell of a lot of time with Nick [Nicholas Hoult]. Weirdly the people that I spent the most time with acting-wise was not Michael this time, it was Hugh and Nick. And whilst I bemoaned the loss of my buddy Michael, it was more than made up for by the fact that Hugh and Nick are such amazing people."

I really want a scene where Charles is like "hey Erik, remember when you left me lying on a beach with a bullet in my spine while you ran off with my adopted sister."

Great news! And I'm so happy for James, seeing that his film Filth is being praised everywhere (currently 100% at RT), as is his performance. Actually he's being even more praised than the film, if that's possible. Go James!

James McAvoy interview. Mentions DOFP at the end with the usual its "gonna be epic". What I found a little interesting was a quick comment he made in his answer to the first question about his new movie potentially being too risky for him. He says if the movie is terrible then people will forget about it and he will just "go and do X-Men 3". IIRC he also made comments about doing another FC X-Men movie at Comic Con.
