Oregon looks good now but they have moments where they are just sloppy with penalties and mental errors. There are 3 main games that will really test them: Washington, UCLA, and Stanford.

Which is good, I'm glad they have some tough opponents coming up, I would really like to see them in the National Championship.

Yes, but not midseason. Midseason firings in college do not have the same effect that midseason firings have in the NFL. College kids need stability and recruits need at least a show of it. Firing him now will scare off recruits even more than they are being scared off by Kiffin (and that is saying something).

I think they'd wait till the end of the season anyway to bring in Saban.

Nick Saban isn't leaving Bama for USC.

Umm...no. Nick Saban is going to stay at Bama until he retires, more likely than not. Why would he leave the most prestigious conference in the NCAA and the school with the deepest recruiting pipeline in the NCAA? That is like saying that Les Miles is going to leave LSU for Penn State because it was the best school in the country twenty years ago. USC and Texas aren't the schools that they were in 2003 and the PAC-12 and Big 12 aren't what they were ten years ago. Bama is the dynasty of this decade and Saban isn't going to leave it for a school that USED TO BE prestigious.

Bama used to be prestigious before Saban arrived. From the mid 90s to 2008 they were a non factor in the SEC.

But, if TX wanted to throw the money Nick's way, they could easily do it. However, I'm thinking they'll go for Art Biles.

He's still not going to go to another school. Anything the NCAA is investigating Bama for is tied to Saban. It won't matter he goes, he will still be under the NCAA's jurisdiction. Going to another school won't put him out of their reach. If it were that easy, Jim Tressel would've just gone to another school. Now, Saban might pull a Tressel and might RETIRE to avoid his legacy being tainted (especially if it'll get the NCAA to backoff), but he isn't going to change schools. Carrol went NFL. Kelly went NFL. Saban won't have that opportunity (he's already had his shot in the NFL and no amount of National Championships will earn him a second one after that disaster in Miami). Saban will stay in Bama.

I can't see Saban leaving Bama for any other school unless he's completely forced due to NCAA sanctions. I think Kiffin is on his way out if they have another repeat of last season. Texas may fire Mack Brown since the school is supposedly doing a purge within the underperforming athletic department and him and the AD are the top targets.

Saban has a history of leaving schools to move up. Don't be surprised if after this season he leaves for USC or Texas. There are already rumors.

Ohio State, Baylor, Louisville and Miami () have all hung 70+ on D1-AA/FCS/LMNOP/whatever schools today. Enough with these games.

Saban is a coach that likes to build a National Champion, that is what makes him tick...I see him at another team next year.

True and I should have been more specific. Outside of those upsets being a clear exception to the rule, they're usually at the hand of teams (albeit a lower designation) that have some general standing. These games today were just slaughters and they shaped up that way from the jump. The Canes were favored by 60 today and I didn't figure they'd even score that much, let alone cover. These cupcake/payday games are all too common, particularly when you see some traditional rivalries falling by the wayside while there are seeming shortage of these glorified preseason games.

Eh. At least, there's a playoff coming. Can't complain too much about the game.

BCS killed parity, cause it makes teams not want to risk decent OOC teams. 1 loss and you're almost guaranteed to not make the big $$$. Hioefully with the playoff system that will change somewhat

UCF literally gave the game away with all the turnovers/picks. That last play would have been a big TD instead of a pick if it wasn't underthrown.
