The boots are awesome. I love when artists get creative with the eagle.

What do you call that kind of headband? Battle tiara? Headdress? Whatever its called, its great.

Battle tiara would be my choice.

i think someone needs to make the feathers, plate or chain mail of some sort...that would look awesome and have functionality.

unlike MCU Captain America

The way he made the eagle the "crest" kind of reminds me of one of my designs.

hmmm...why not make it a phoenix, instead of an eagle?

I mean honestly in 2013 Thymescara being pro-America sounds kinda ...unbelievable.

Because the eagle as a symbol dates back a long way, in Ancient Greece it was related with Zeus and the romans made it "mainstream". Ever since it was a very common symbol used by european nations (and eventually the US).

Those costumes are awful. But it all goes back to what you really want in the character,I suppose. My take on Wonder Woman isn't a sword slinger in a grimy, clunky suit of armor, with sandals.I want the superhero who's colorful, larger than life and doesn't break a sweat doing feats of spectacular heroism. Unfortunately, they are in short supply at WB/DC these days.

I don't think it makes her look clunky at all. She looks like a badass warrior princess. It's a good battle armor for an intense final battle scene to me , but if you remove the sleeves and thigh armor, it works I could believe someone in that armor standing shoulder to shoulder with Supes and Bats I believe we should take a cue from Nolan, when he talked about these characters it's not about getting everything about them right, even down to their undies, but when you squint your eyes do they resemble the character. I'd say in that art that looks like a WW for today's audience. Not someone jumping around in a bikini.

I agree. How t make a nice Wonder Woman costume for a movie.
1) Take the rainfall costume.
2) Clean it up. Add some flair. Get rid of those silly gloves.
3) Get well built actress. Fit costume well to actress.

Done.

This last Stjepan Sejic's design is much better the rainfall one. It has a imposing feel to it. The fact that it's plate armor istead of leather is one of the reasons for this, plus the amazing details.

Frankly its not the lack of a good costume thats holding up a movie it the lack of a good script. At least one that would appeal to WB and a general audience.

Why can't it be both?

I think that costume still says all of those things--

Hmm.

It's cool armour, definitely, but it's not very 'Amazonian' though. I'd axe the feathers below the armour on the arms; it's too wintery. (maybe this can be her winter outfit?)

Also, for WW, I feel like it's more 'super' if she's not armoured, just like Superman. That should be her default anyways.

Diana should have more than one costume. Her bathing suit being the 'main' one, and the more armored one for special occasions.

Plus, that way, everyone is happy.

^I don't think she should ever have a "bathing suit" it would make no logistical sense.

The "bathing suit" costume would look ridiculous in a serious, big budget summer tentpole type film.

I don't get what not "Amazonian" means? What is wrong with the armor? Besides the feathery chain mail.
What is Amazonian armor anyway?
