I totally agree with your friends though. Best. IM. Ever!!
The best part of the twist is that the movie does to the fans what the Mandarin (Killian) does to the American people.

I really need to see IM3 again though. I'm not really sure where to place it right now but I think I still prefer the first. It could change with repeated home viewings though, just like Thor has become better and better each time for me.

With time and repeated viewings, IM3 overtook the first IM for me, which is now second to CA:TFA for the solo Avenger outings for me.

I do think that all the MCU movies have gotten better and better on repeated viewing though, even if the FX... did not (*kaff*TheIncredibleHulk*kaffkaff*)

I don't really know why I haven't gotten IM3 and watched it a few times more, but I'll certainly do it.

I certainly agree that all the MCU movies hold up incredibly well for repeated viewings.

LOL. I am tired of reloading RT's page every minute, without any updates!

Actually there is 30-40 reviews online already, they are just not on RT. The full list is in Boxofice.com forum tread.

Don't know, part of them not RT critics but some part are but they yet not there. Sometimes RT is slow like this without any apparent reason most reviews will be added beginning next week I suppose.

IM 3 is awesome. I like it better than 2 for sure and dare I say it, Iron Man 1.

It was the first a compelling villain was used, real elements of danger were present. I loved the first iron man, but the ending seems rushed and the iron monger just wasnt that interesting. IM 3 for the win, it had higher stakes, and funnier moments, deal with it!

I actually rewatched it today and I liked it better than the first time (and I still liked it back then). I had gotten spoiled by some posters on this board about the twist and some other things so I didn't have the optimal first viewing but I could let things sink in better this time. Especially some nuances in acting became more apparent and I was more impressed with Guy Pierce this time.

I'm so glad I've sworn off everything after the second trailer for The Dark World. It's going to be a great experience.

Does anyone know what the RT score would be with all the reviews so far?

Hell yeah, Thor 2 is gonna rock! I've actually been a big supporter of the MCU... only movie I've missed was IM 2 in theaters, that was more due to being super busy with work and stuff at the time. They've done well, but ever since the Avengers they've really stepped it up. I saw Avengers 3 times in theaters which is a first for me!

Oh, I know that. But there are some reviews which are not on RT yet (RT only has 15 reviews so far!).

In the end I am more curious what the opening weekend numbers are going to be.
I still think TTDW will stay in the low 80's when all reviews are in...

Like I said, haven't met a lot of general audience members rushing to defend those movies
People in the GA don't rush to defend a movie, any movie. They don't give a crap enough to bother. They're just there to have a good time and kill a couple of hours. If you see someone defending a movie then I'd argue they aren't a member of the GA, they're a fan.

Anyway, it's highly likely based on the passed 7 films that TTDW will get at least into the 70+ range, though I hope for 80's.

To me watchability(and rewatchability) is synonymous with quality. The better a film is then the easier it is to rewatch it. Bad movies I have no interest in rewatching(or watching even once).

I have to agree here.

I judge and rank a movie by how much I want to watch it again.

That's not the case for me. I think movies like The Thin Red Line or The Road were very good, but they are too heavy and depressing for me to rewatch them as many times as I could with a superhero movie or a comedy.

If this stays in the low 80's after all is said and done I'll be one happy camper.
