I thought that was a cute one. Clark's reply was something like, "I think it's different if you're an alien." I didn't like that as much.

How does anyone feel about Bruce having some battle scars on his body? I'd prefer it. Something like this.

I think scars are a great idea. It could help with the contrast between Superman and Batman. Show a scene of Clark Kent with a perfect pristine body maybe enjoying some time at the beach, and then cut right away to a shirtless scene of Bruce Wayne with a dozen scars, perhaps doing some physio and covering half his body in ice.

Curious, do you guys think the personas of Batman and Superman should meet first on the film, or would you guys prefer if the characters met first by their civilian personas?

I think I'd be cool if their civilian personas met first. For example, Clark could be trying to get an interview with Bruce and while he's talking to him, perhaps he could see something or hear something that reveals Bruce is Batman. Then maybe he tracks Batman down as Superman. But either way, their first meeting will be cool.

It does, and he probably got a good number of them from training years ago as well.

Last night, I had a dream that the new batsuit was laughably bad, Affleck's bat-voice was "meh" and his villain in the movie was Man-Bat. *shudders* Never again...

The new Batmobile for Man of Steel 2 is reportedly being designed, but don't expect it to look like the previous one.

A source at Batman-on-Film.com reported this week that the Batmobile was currently being designed by General Motors. The new Batmobile will be a departure from the look audiences are used to.

The source also reported that they are designing an "old Cadillac" that will be feature prominently in the film. It's possible that the new Batmobile and the old Cadillac will be the same, though the source admitted that the connection is entirely speculative.
Thoughts?

You know, what kind of sucks for Superman in this film is that he really doesn't have any available tools of his own to use and sport now that his scout ship has mostly been destroyed so if we get any scenes featuring Superman and Batman trying to investigate and analyze something at a "home base", it'll likely be at Bruce's Batcave or some other station owned by Bruce.

Well, with MOS they were able to sell a lot with the merchandise when it came to the Kryptonian tech and armor, so I get a feeling that it'll be Batman's gear and stuff that'll be the big toy seller this time around.

Also, I really do hope that Snyder and Goyer have taken into consideration of some of the constructive criticisms that MOS got from fans and critics since I wouldn't feel all that great if they brushed it all off, thinking that we were just complaining, and went about making the same and possibly even more mistakes with this film.

And I hope that the action scenes transition better with the realistic looking world since I thought that was one thing that was not entirely executed well in MOS. When it came to just the character base scenes, when no huge amount of CGI was required, it really felt like the real world that we were watching, but whenever the CGI elements came in, it felt like an entirely different world altogether and didn't mesh well with the realistic looking elements.

Also, for the love of god, I hope Snyder abandons his dark color filter for this film. Why can't any modern Superman filmmaker ever make a Superman film with some vibrant, if not at least normal color filters?

I think they'll listen, but really, regarding plot, character development, the bleak depressing setting etc, it's all part of the first act and with each forthcoming movie, all this will advance forward and things will become more hopeful as Superman's presence increase. This isn't Marvel where movies are just open/shut standalone, there's a lot of heavy lifting that needs to be done to reboot everything and introduce necessary plot devices to drive the films forward. Superman's story is just too big for one movie.

As for action scenes, I'm not really bothered by them that much and in the sequel where Batman's involved, I think it'll reduce it. I remember reading somewhere that Ben Affleck doesn't really do hardcore CGI action well and actually turned down directing Man of Steel as the script already called for kind of action. So maybe for this movie, things will be turned down a notch.

Then when they bring in folk like Brainiac, Darkseid or Doomsday, I'd like it if they went all out for that.

Burton wanted to scars on Bruce back in the day. I thought it was cool when Nolan did it in TDK.
