I'm feeling confident that it'll make more WW than IM2, the highest phase 1 film other than TA. Say $625M WW though I'd love for it to beat MoS which would take what, another $40M or so?

Going from the awesomeness of the trailer, I want it to earn, 4 bazillion dollars!

I'm expecting at least $600 million but I'm hoping for $700 million (if it is as great as it seems).

I'm hoping collectively that TWS and GOTG can equal at least $1B WW next year. Just as I'm hoping TTWD can make up the difference to $2B this year when paired with IM3. That'd put Phase 2 way ahead of Phase 1(which, it already is but I like round numbers).

Wow. If $500 mill was a line, I'd definitely take the 'over' action. I voted $700 mill, but based on the trailer, I can see it possibly making more. Maybe $750 mill.

I'm thinking about 175-200 million domestic and an additional 300 million internation for about 500 million total.

3 billion from 4 movies. Once you add in Avengers 2, toys, merchandise, tv rights and DVDs it looks like Disney will make back all the money they paid to buy Marvel in only a couple years.

The first one made under 400 millions WW. I think if TWS get over 500 millions WW then it is a BO success. Cap is much harder sell in general than IM and Thor.

$300m US / $500M OS / $800m WW.

Domestically, I'm going with $260-$280, $400-$420 internationally. So, maybe around $660-700 WW.

Pre-trailer I had it at $550 million worldwide, but Cap just earned a $50 million raise. $600 million.

I'm wondering whether the Marvel/Disney brand will elevate Cap a little overseas at this point, where the audience will be more likely to see Cap as simply another Marvel hero. Also, the political thriller tone could work to Cap's benefit with the international audiences.

550-600 WW seems like a good guess. If the movie is great, it will mitigate the whole 'Merica, f*** yeah! stigma that the character has among foreign audiences

Foreign audiences might find this Cap movie far less abrasive, nationalist and xenophobic. Not that those were valid criticisms of the first film but I don't think most Americans would sit through Captain China or Captain Spain if the entire movie was pro-China or pro-Spain.

I think the whole "America in the title is a hard sell" thing is being overblown. I don't think most people will have a problem with it. TFA made more overseas then in the US, and that was with none of the exposure from The Avengers. Like Suzanne said, I think most people will see Cap as just "another Marvel hero" in many ways.
Add in the fact it's not just Cap, but also his fellow Avenger, Black Widow. As well as another major TA supporting player in SLJ as Fury. Age of Ultron will also be filming when TWS is released, so awareness will be high. I think it'll do very well overseas.
