I was thinking lighthearted and serious since Zimmer is doing the score for the trailer

I'm pretty sure it'll be like (if not exactly the same as) the leaked footage from Comic-Con. It'll start with Spidey being funny and having a great time. Then the dark stuff hits. But we'll have to wait and see. I'm hoping for great footage and great music to go along with it.

Am I the only one who thinks the eyes on the porno version are better than that of the actuall film?

I looked it up and Mysterio is the villain. I think the porno might be better than the real movie.

Yeah I definitely think we'll get a little bit of rhino in the trailer.

So much wasted potential if they don't use Rhino!

I get you though about the direction they seem to be taking with the jokes in ASM2. We're def on the same wavelength. It's not that Spidey shouldn't have humor in his movies but it's how the humor is executed. And all the examples you already provided with the hats, Aleksei getting pantsed, Giamatti "going over the top" per his words, the kid, laundry sheriff, etc. etc.--it makes sense to me at least that there is a genuine cause for concern.
I know you didn't ask me but I will throw mine out there if you care...if you don't just toss it into the fire.

The carjacking scene for me fell flat. What Spider-Man was doing was totally Spider-Man but Marc Webb turned it into a sicko torture-esque scene capped off with that creepy head turn by Spider-Man. That totally fell flat.

The Lizard isn't even remotely the same as the Raptors. The Lizard is a brilliant scientist who has become more animalistic. Having him keep most of his intelligence, but have it twisted into something horrible, makes him more of a threat because it's both brains and animal strength. Lizard just being some mindless monster running around NYC is both a wasted opportunity and not very interesting. Heck, you wouldn't even need Spider Man to deal with a threat like that, the NYPD could do it on their own.

Webbing a guy on the dick does not count as torture IMO

What was "sicko torture-esque" about that scene exactly?

The guy looking terrified, the creepy music (should have been fun music), the guy wrenching in pain, the guy yelling for help (why would a car jacker yell for help?), him tilting his head in a creepy way, and then it finishing off with him jumping in front of the guy's face to look at his wrist.

It did come off a bit dark however I think that's what they were after. Peter is in vigilante mode, very upset about the death of his Uncle and looking to do harm to his killer--he's not reached the point of trying to be a hero and he's only interested in the car thief because he matches the killer's profile. I don't think the scene would have made sense if it were all fun music and with a lighthearted tone. Spidey is about showing this guy he's got nothing on him and toying with him to make him feel powerless. If the humor in the scene fell flat for ya, that's fine but the scene wasn't meant to be a lighthearted affair and imo would have felt out of place given his motives.

that scene is fine to me because he ain't just catching bad guys he is probably angry deep down and he is searching for a certain bad guy that killed his uncle, and its people like the car jacker who carrys a around who would kill to get away with crimes just like his uncles killer, but peter was clearly gonna hand him to the cops like he did the others

overall i'd say peter/spidey changed as the film went on and become more then what he set out to be and by TASM2 he is a hero and not just someone out to find his uncles killer
