I kinda like this style, high tech, futuristic like Reed would design for a purpose yet stylish to use in battle.

I loved that picture of Patrick Wilson as Reed Richards. Maybe they can cast him in Fan 4

They should change the team colour from blue to all the colours of the rainbow, to be progressive. If you don't support this you're an evil homophobe who hinders the progress of social change!

Am I the only one who thought the 1994 version looked more like a realistic rock monster than the one from the modern films?

Yes and No. The 1994 version definitely looks more like a rock monster than the 2005 version, which just looks more like a man made of rock.

However, neither really looked realistic as far as how he would actually look and how his rock "skin" would move as he did.

I think a mocap CGI Thing is the way to go.

The mocap cg hulk in The Avengers really proved, IMO, that you can mocap The Hulk, or The Thing, and have it look phenomenal and really tangible; real.

I'm leaning towards CGI. I think the new Ninja Turtles movie will be the acid test for this idea of running these characters for a whole film. If it works and is affordable, it could be awesome for the FF. Having 18 minutes of thing ala Avengers isn't a plan though, that won't cut it.

The Ultimate Uniforms are really solid. The only thing I would say is focus on the later dark blue and light blue thing rather than the black and light blue. I think that the former mix makes the team a little more super. Also, giving Thing a top sets him apart from other CGI musclebound freaks, and even the previous shirtless Chiklis Thing. A smart move all around.

But at some point, I want to see the Future Foundation Uniforms. They'd be so glorious in some future film.

I really liked that look, too.

I just read today that the digital Hulk clocked in at 8 minutes in the Avengers - which sounds about right.

In the first Jurassic Park there is 6 minutes of digital dinos.

I agree, this will not cut it.

Two excellent choices.

I'd love to see the FF costumes on screen. in some kindof of CGI costume similar to green Lanterns, it could change colour and stuff.

Here Sue is wearing an FF jacket. More casual.

FF space suits

Fantastic Four uniforms for the cold

Fantastic Four under water suits

Fantastic Four space suits

Here Sue is wearing a Fantastic Four uniform that isn't so tight fitting. Maybe they can
wear baggy stuff sometimes.

Like in this one of the Thing, he is just wearing a Fantastic Four shirt,
blue with the 4 symbol.

This one too. But Imagine this in blue, instead of white
and imagine its maybe their main action uniform but not their only:
That idea is perfect. One thing I like about F4 is they had different costumes for different occassions. (That and how Johnny's hair changed in each arc. I know it was because of different artists but It worked since it was Johnny)

I actually really like the white FF outfits, so seeing them would be nice. The Ultimate costumes would also work well.

The rock monster in Thor looked a whole lot like the thing. Skin texture wise. Anyone notice this? Made me think that a cgi thing could work out well

A CGI Thing really is the way to go. Same with Juggernaut, Apocalypse and Strong Guy.

He looked like a Stone Man from Saturn - one of the rocky villains from the first Thor story in JiM #83 - who of course looked very "Thing" like because they were both Kirby characters.

I am sure a CGI Thing is possible - its more of a question of Fox paying the cash for it - there is VERY little Hulk in the Avengers, and that little of the Thing will not work in an FF movie.

They'll pay it. Rise of The Planet of The Apes is evidence.

WETA gave Fox a deal on APES - I think they were associate producers or something like that - hope they will do the same on the FF.
Of course, WETA was one of the reasons the FF2 budget rose by $20 million when the approach they promised for the Surfer did not work and they had to go the more expensive complete digital route, so we shall see...

This, but with a different color scheme and a 4. The First Class suits were glorious.

According to IMDB, George L. Little is the costume designer for the reboot. He worked on films like Zero Dark Thirty, Transcendence and Warm Bodies.

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0514565/?...stume_designer

He hasn't done a huge film, let alone a franchise, so it should be interesting to see what designs he'll go with.

This makes me realise that no matter what costume type they choose it's going to be "wrong" as it's not the specific one people have in their head.
