That's how it felt to me. That it was the first time he embraced who he was and that he started seeing his powers as blessings, as Jonathan Kent told him.

Ok so that Daily Planet logo in the building does mean the DP building is up again. There is no way that scene of Clark coming to work could be only weeks after the Zod events.

It's also possible that it's simply a plot hole and they didn't realise that there was an inconsistency.

The building very next to Daily Planet fell down and would have likely destroyed all surrounding buildings.

So even I find it unlikely that it is days later. Could be a year later even when before people are very smiley and happy and have forgotten the catastrophe that devastated their city.

Yeah I'm starting to wonder if it is 9 mos to a year later. Even when Clark as riding through the streets they were clean with no destruction and I don't think I saw any buildings being worked on. But if it is almost a year ago what has gone on between Lois and Clark?

Maybe they'll address that in BvS.

If they have to spend time addressing all the MOS plot holes in BvS, they might not even get time to properly feature Batman!

My guess is the sequel begins not long after MOS finished. 6 months to a year tops.

The Daily planet scene wasn't that long after Clark fought Zod. After that fight he visits General Swanwick and then his fathers grave with his mother. What's the time span a day or two tops?

The grave-site may be a few days to a week, but Clark explains to Martha that he "has to find a job, where he needs to keep his ear to the ground and nobody will think twice." As he is explaining this, it's showing him arrive at the DP. I think that's foreshadowing that time has passed from his conversation with Ma and it took him time to nail that job down, with the help of Lois of course.

I would think that from his fight with Zod to where he arrives at the DP, 6 months to a year has passed.

I've heard that Lois had no idea Clark got the job or anything.

Ah you could be onto something there.

It was supposedly in the novelization.

Or could the DP building not have been destroyed and maybe not as damaged as the others?

Or it's a different building.

I'd much rather have less Batman than less Superman.

Could be, I just threw that in there since him landing the job makes sense that he and Lois obviously are in on his little secret. Lois's face when she first saw Clark wasn't a shocked face whatsoever, but more or a slight snicker that they both had to go through the motions of meeting for the first time.

I have the novel, but didn't get around to reading it yet so I'm unaware to the nod where she had no idea that he was coming to the Planet. By the way that scene was shot, it looks to me like Lois and Clark are well aware.

I'll have to read that part again. In the movie it looked like she was surprised to see him but of course knew who he was.

Is the novelization cannon though? What we see on the screen is that Lois isn't surprised to see Clark there hinting that she helped him get the job somehow.

What plot holes are you referring to exactly? I'm not saying that you're wrong, I'm genuinely curious. I've seen the movie several times and I didn't notice all that many out and out plot holes.

I don't know. The sense that I got from that last scene was that while Lois definitely knew who he was, she may have not expected him to get a job at the DP specifically. But then again, that was just how the scene played to me.
