Lex as well. All rumors as I said, but I think he could be Lex.
The only reputable website with a rumor about Mulvey says hes up for Metallo.

I believe it was ThinkMcFlyThink who said Lex originally then backtracked and said Metallo. I guess we'll see...

I googled him and it says likely villain. It doesn't say Lex. I did read he was being considered for Flash...unfortunately I can't find it now.

If he is being considered for Lex then I like the direction they are going. I can't say I like him because I don't even know the guy, but he's got the look I want. I hope they keep the hair in any case.

I'd like to see Lex with hair and eventually lose it due to Kryptonite exposure.

Its True. Even if they don't appear to be at first glance. He will make them into comic book twin images when the movie drops.

But this guy is a deadly ringer.

Jason Momoa would make an excellent Lex.

I don't feel like Momoa is up for lex. Maybe metallo, but not lex.
Mulvey on the other hand....

Momoa would be a better Bane.

I don't see any resemblance or trait in common between him and Lex Luthor.

Lex doesn't even need to be bald unless his baldness is a story point.

This movie will show how Superman was responsible for Lex Luthor's baldness...which is why Lex hates him.

I doubt Momoa is playing Lex Luthor. If I wrong, I'm wrong.

Lex is just as viable a guess as Doomsday is at this point.

As a matter of fact id like to see a Lex with like VERY short hair like stubble that he wears bc he likes it as opposed to the hair loss version.

It means exactly what it says.

On what are we basing our casting preferences, if not that? Technical acting ability alone? If so, I'm not sure Momoa really places very highly.

Unless you're dealing with a character - fictional or otherwise - whose ethnicity/visual look is explicitly and specifically pivotal to who they are, there's absolutely no reason to disqualify any actor or actress from playing said character.

Lex Luthor is not one of those types of characters.

Which is why I included "traits" in my suggested assessment.

Again, what do you have to go on if you exclude resemblance, traits in common, and technical ability? The sound of the actor's name?

No, Lex Luthor is too important to be played by any mediocre actor, they need someone really good for the part. Momoa is ok for a secondary role like Metallo or whoever Lex uses against Superman.

^ I consider Momoa to be an excellent actor because I've actually seen him act (and no, his starring role in Conan the Barbarian doesn't count because it's not that difficult to play an inarticulate heathen warrior) and consider him to be more than capable of playing Lex Luthor.

I've haven't seen much of Momoa's acting so I'm definitely not going to dis the guy's acting chops. I just think he looks like someone Cavill is going to be throwing down with more than anything.
