Thor flew in Avengers. But IM had way more flying scenes.

how long should the lasso be? Even though it's magic, it shouldn't be infinite-length.

How is her lasso portrayed in the comics. I'm more familiar with Wondy from the cartoons. It seemed like it has a limit to how long it was there, but she rarely used or even wore it JL/JLU.

As long as it needs to be, just like the Bat rope.

I thought there were limits on the show. Yet she rarely used it or even wore it, so maybe they will do away with the lasso.

I hope we see it in some form, even if it becomes a bola of some sort. In fact, that may be preferable in order to evade any incongruous Wild West connotations. It might solve the "flight" question if she can snare other flying objects, too.

A xiphos or kopis, combined with some kind of snaring rope weapon, would be a cool combination.

Good points! But uhh....what is a bola? I also have no idea what a xiphos or kopis is either.

I do like the idea of her snaring flying objects. That sounds cool and could be cool as a visual in the movie. It makes her dangerous to flying objects even if she isn't flying.

The significance of Superman isn't his powers but the fact that he is the first one. The JL isn't about their powers but the characters and how they play off each other. That's why there is so much over lap in powers with the Justice League.

If you are talking about the Lynda Carter show...she used the lasso a lot.

I watched the first JL WW episode Paradise Lost I think the name is and she used the lasso in it.

Bola was, I thought, the singular of "bolas", but maybe there isn't such a thing.

A xiphos is the straight-bladed short Hellenic sword; the kopis is its curved, machete-like counterpart.

I meant the cartoon. It seems like she rarely had it on JL or JLU. That's episode is like one of the few times I've seen her use it. I don't even really remember her wearing it that much.

Oh okay, I wasn't sure. I like the idea of her having the lasso. It's multi purpose as a weapon.

If Batman calls out Superman for killing Zod, perhaps WW can reassure Superman that he did the right thing; he did what any warrior would in battle.

No thanks. We already had that in the Adrianne Palicki pilot where she threw that pipe through that guy's neck. Didn't like that at all. It seemed excessive and not bad ass.

It's funny to me that some people are very upset by Wondy not flying, but yet they want to "nerf" her in the warrior department. She's not the girl next door folks. She's an Amazonian warrior who has been trained to kill.

Oh come on. It depends on the circumstance. Kill a monster? Sure, she does that all the time. Kill Maxwell Lord because that is the only way to free Superman from mind control? Sure. Kill a security guard just because? What were they thinking?

I didn't see the pilot, but I don't get why her killing would be an issue. She's a warrior who is trained to kill.

I like the idea of her learning to find a different way, but saying she shouldn't kill doesn't make sense to me.

I think of the trinity Wonder Woman has a more balanced view of death and killing....Superman and Batman go out of their way not to kill.

I don't think she should not kill...but I think the trinity should influence each other. I think when teamed up with two guys who actually have a rule against killing it may cause her to not be so quick with the killing.

There's a big difference between WW killing a rampaging monster in the heat of battle, or her (and Superman in MOS) having to make a split second decision to kill a superpowered psychopath when there's no other option and countless live or at stake, and what happened in that POS pilot, where she kills some random security guard.
1. As far as we know, that security guard wasn't evil. He was just a regular guy doing his job.
2. She didn't need to kill him. She could have hit him in the hand, or the arm, or the leg. But apparently she thought his throat was an easier target to hit than his limbs.

I like the idea of her being able to summon swords from her bracelets. I'd love it if they put that in the movies as well.

Just want to remind everyone about HOTLINKING...we had a case of this happening today, so be sure not to do it...

From our FAQ -

Hotlinking
Hotlinking is when you directly post an image from a website. Many websites see this as you “stealing” their bandwidth and will sometimes retaliate by automatically replacing the intended image with another when it’s posted. These images range from simple caution messages to disturbingly graphic images. If you choose to hotlink and your image is replaced by a graphic/pornographic/inappropriate image, you will be banned. This can be easily avoided by re-hosting all images at a site such as ImageShack or PhotoBucket.
