Building strawman of your own, is hard to avoid with this phrasing imo.

It's any interesting point you make however, the question, is how free are producers to play around and push properties like Batman into contemporary and beyond genre filmmaking and how free are they with Superman. "First post 911 cbm..." is something I heard all over tdk praise, nothing good to come of such things when placed in superman imo. Objectively sure, why not. Expectation wise, grey area good vs evil is just not what people expect from superman.

Imperfect heroes are a staple of modern cinema. All modern highly celebrated cbms have this in spades, how conducive to that very concept to Superman of all things?

Hard to ignore imo.

"A man named Hal Jordan was recruited 45 years ago into the Lantern core, flight testing in the midst of the Viet war. He hasn't returned to the relatively measured as primitive earth since. Upon his return from what could be considered hell, the weathered soldier and man out of time has short trimmed grey hair, scars, and a warning of a looming threat that motivated his return to his home planet. He's also surprised and weary to see a Kryptonian on Earth"

Peter Georgiou @Peterg_TMT Follow Rumor: I didn't hear this directly, but it's floating around behind the scenes in the industry: @TheRock is up for Jon Stewart. Shrugs.

let this be.
