That's why they need Rome to call him out on how old he looks for a high school kid. And note that he's hongry.

That was announced pretty early in production. Black only has a small role in 7 but he was to become a series regular in 8 and 9.

That's cool. I haven't been following it but I always liked the dude, even way back when he was just a little squirt in American Gothic.

I am delighted the Lucas Black is returning even if it is just a small part.

Unlike most others Tokyo Drift is in my top 3 or 4 F&F movies and also a very important movie given the events that took place in the movies after Tokyo Drift. (Introducing Han as part of the original crew.) Now his death has a bigger impact on all the viewers (Granted if they had done the movies in the correct order the impact would have been bigger, I think they tried to replace the impact of Hans death which we all knew was going to happen with the Statham impact.)

For what it's worth, Jaa and Statham are currently filming other projects.

I recently watched Tokyo Drift for the first time and didn't think he looked anywhere close to a teenager back then either. He looked 25-28 in that movie and he was what, 22-23? No way I bought him as high-school age, he looked more like a grad student.

Yea he looked old in Tokyo Drift ha. But hollywood does that all the time by casting older people for high school kid roles. Go back and watch some early seasons of Smallville. Tom Welling as Clark looked SUPER old to be in high school, he was well into his 20's during those seasons it was really awkward. Same with Glee, a lot of the cast is well into their 20's like mid 20's and late 20's still in high school, though I don't watch that show ha. Another example is that medicore movie " I am Number 4". Everyone in that movie that plays a high school kid is like in their mid to late 20's.

I remember an interviewer asked him about him looking so old, especially with all that hair on his chest and asked him if he thought about shaving it in order to look younger, and his response was pretty much "Eh, who cares. It's just a movie"

I read somewhere that Paul Walker's brother was offered a role in FF7.

He's being used as a body double so they can finish filming Paul's scenes.

Not directly related to Fast 7, but for those of us in the States who wanted a Blu-ray boxset with all 6 of the current films, it's coming. Amazon has it listed with a street date of May 13th.

'Fast & Furious 7' to Resume Production in April
5:00 AM PST 2/27/2014 by Rebecca Ford

After a long hiatus due to the death of star Paul Walker, Fast & Furious 7 is gearing up to resume shooting.

Sources say Universal will restart production on the action franchise on or near April 1, giving the studio and director James Wan almost one year until the film is due to hit theaters April 10, 2015. The remainder of the shoot will last from six to eight weeks, according to insiders. Cast and crew will be called back to Atlanta, where filming had been scheduled to resume after Thanksgiving.

Fast 7 was about halfway finished when Walker was killed in a car crash in Valencia, Calif., requiring its release date to be scrapped and Wan, writer Chris Morgan and Universal to pore over existing footage and tweak the script. Insiders now believe Walker's character can be "retired" -- rather than killed off -- in a way that will allow the franchise to continue. Universal declined comment.

I don't know how legit the New York Daily News is, but they say Uni's using body doubles and CGI. AICN linked to this article.

Yeah I saw a similar article posted on several other sites. It's not the first time we have heard of the studio going for CGI to complete the movie. The good news is according to Tyrese, Paul had filmed 85% of his footage already.

Quote:
“They have hired four actors with bodies very similar to Paul’s physique and they will be used for movement and as a base,” one source close to production told NY Daily News. “Paul’s face and voice will be used on top using CGI.”

It makes sense that the producers are doing everything they can to finish the movie with someone who resembles Paul — 85 percent of it was already filmed with him in it!

“The fans are really going to feel like they’re still experiencing Paul Walker and Brian O’Conner in this franchise and we’re going to make it fun and make the best of it,” Tyrese told Yahoo’s The Insider.
