No, its like saying Jubilee isn't as important to X-Men like Kitty Pryde is. Unless you only have seen TAS. Then you wouldn't be aware of her importance.

What does being important to the canon have to do with being less annoying?

Freudian slip?

I disagree Kitty or Jubille are annoying overall. There are times, but I wasn't discussing that. I replied to this comment....

...agreed, and said why.

I don't hate Jubilee. She's not the most important or well written character imo but she's fun. We all have our favorites, regardless of who's more important. Was never arguing that.

Jubilee became annoying in the animated series - just a whiny mall-rat in a yellow coat! But it doesn't mean the character is always that way.

Maybe she will get a large role in the films sometime? I don't know if they would find much use for her 'fireworks', she's sort of a cross between Dazzler (light) and Gambit (throwing things that explode).

Let's just say it's good that eventual deleted scene never made it to the theatrical release. We don't want people thinking she's an Electro/Palpatine rip-off.

Other then her great pairing up with X-23 (the two have had excellent chemistry everytime they are together imo), I haven't really liked her since the 90s. The whole de-powered and Vampire thing has been a horrible turn for the character. The new Brian Wood comic has been a bit better for her so far. So hopefully she finds her fitting.

Yeah Kitty is one of my least favorite X-Men characters.

I know, right!? (lol). Could it have been that difficult to add in some plasma baubles, some little glowing spheres starting to form? What the heck were they thinking with that electrical discharge thing? The power display was all wrong.

Jubilee was well received in the books. (far as i know)

Back during Siege Perilous/Silvestri era when she rescued wolverine from the Reavers, i enjoyed her. I do understand how people can say shes a "poor mans kitty pryde", but she's not.
Kitty's been interwoven with XMen history in a way that itsa shame the movies don't portray her as the super developed character she is.
She's on of my favorite characters to use as evidence of "growth".

I like Kitty, but I understand why they didn't have her play a more integral role in the films. She had been off of the main team for well over a decade by the time X-Men was released, and they may have wanted to capitalize off the more familiar (?) names of The Animated Series.

Exactly. Also you have to consider that when Bryan was developing that first movie in the late 90s he was a TAS fan first and foremost.

I'm interested to see how the 3600 fps scenes work out.

There are videos on Youtube that show what the speed looks like. Probably will be similar to the sequence in Game of Shadows except not as dark, ugly looking, and well... stupid.

It looked pretty rough in the deleted scene. Probably wasn't finished.
