So... Do you guys think they'll actually make Storm an interesting character in this movie? It's long overdue, but with all of the other people in this film, I have a feeling she'll be relegated to chilling in the background again.

I think whilst she is a background character she does have the best powerset for film so we should be seeing her do some cool stuff, I doubt we will get much character development bar the "shocking" thing halle said we will learn about her.

Well, hopefully it will be something. She has such potential giving her powers, and Halle is a good actress (though she's been fairly underwhelming as Storm, largely due to the writing).

I wish they would, but I'm doubtful. All I'm hoping for is that in exchange for possibly non-existent character development that she at least gets to be presented as heroic, important, and somewhat commanding.

Storm is supposed to have a "revealing and shocking" secret, so I'm hoping that didn't get cut out.

Just for fun and for Storm lovers:

Id love to see her again in the near future with long hair, to see it moving in the air while flying, would be awesome. With today's effects, more long hair Storm... it would be beautiful

Word is, that scene was cut in favor of 14 more Wolverine scenes.

Yeah, going by Berry's statement, it seems she actually has something interesting to do. That's already an improvement.

I have always preferred long haired storm. I wish they would go back to white though, I wasn't a fan of the x3 grey that this film is continuing.

I think a mix could work.

Just keep a few black streaks, only a few, and the rest more white and loong. a big wig, that would make her look like an actual goddess.

oh, and big boots too, and Id be f*** happy

It looks like Storms costume has blue in it. Look at a large version of the cover. Its blue and black. Her thighs look blue. Match it against the black and its blue!

I hope they show a flashback scene of her in Africa or something. Maybe a younger(Teen) actress portraying her for the XFC timeline,or either Halle in tribal garb making it rain over a sea of tribesmen.

The only thing I could figure out that they are going to reveal about Storm is

Her being worshiped as a Goddess
How her parents died
Or that she was a child thief
Or Claustrophobia

Probably the latter

Heels really help Halle because she isn't particularly tall, but she isn't short either. Halle is average height for a woman.

Storm is suppose to be like 5'10-11
Halle is like 5'5-6

Those heels really helped i n X-1 & 2. She was almost as tall as Hugh, and she was above Mardsen's Cyclops.

It's tiny details like that, that bug the hell out of me. and honestly it's all in the production. Halle gets a lot of crap for her portrayal, but she could really look like Storm if they tried.

She looked the most Storm like in X1 because

1. Her hair was long, and PURE white
2. Heels gave her height and made her look more statuesque
3. Her skin was darker(yes if you look closely, you can tell). Halle had a good tan while filming X1,also her make-up was much darker. like her foundation, her eyeshadow ,her lipstick choices were darker (Apricots, Purple/lavender gloss etc) They darkened her eyebrows more.
4. Clothing had more tribal aspects, patterns, designs, chokers, jewelry

Well if there's one thing Storm is known for...

It's her well defined chest.

I agree with the little details that count, I remember seeing pics of Halle sporting long hair without that awful bang.

In real life, we'll never see a black woman, especially an African one with blue eyes and pure white hair. It wouldn't even look right and look very freakish.

When they added the greyish streaks in X3, it made Storm/Halle look much more natural.

The short cut works for DOFP. And, blacks not familiar with X-Men would HOWL as to "why does the black woman have to try to be white and wear blue contacts?" I got that very same reaction from my mom when I told her about Storm in 2000.

Signed, a concerned black American.

I think having the white hair against the dark skin would be striking and the blue eyes I do understand what you mean by that. It may not look natural because its not natural its fantasy so they can do things like that with no problem. I actually liked the all white long hair my only concern was that it looked like a cheap wig and those bangs Ughh!!! If they had a better stylist then it would have been by far my fav. Halle to me looks better with short hair so seeing her now I thought it was cool but it does look more Halle than Storm.

I've seen plenty if wigs all sorta of shades that look real, surely they could've found one. The wig she had on in DOFP looks identical to Halle's real hair. The unique thing about storm for me is her features. And there are some African Americas with blue eyes out there, it rare but true.

The blue eyes might have the same effect as Jessica Alba in F4. I remember the backlash from that.

Give her some white hair and its a go. The blue eyes and white hair is supposed to take people off guard and on dark skin it has potential to look stunning in a live-action X-Men flim.

I'm not expecting heavy character development but I'm expecting bad-ass power displays!
