Miles Teller looks like a goof-ball. And don't even get me started on Jordan and the guy they want to play Ben Grimm. It's just...across the board a massive cluster f*** in the making.

This is all about retaining the rights and keeping them from Marvel. The priority is not on making a "good film." This is about microwaving the fastest solution to get a movie made asap. I'm disgusted.
Spot on.

If that was the case they wouldn't secure up and coming Hollywood actors but would've rounded up a bunch of people off the street and began film in months ago

I've not yet formed an opinion one way or the other. I'm defending the things that we know about this movie because it's ridiculous to be condemning them sight-unseen.

I'd be much more on board with this cast if I didn't hate Miles Teller so much. Seriously, kid's a douche and possibly the worst choice for Mr. Fantastic.

There is a report on that other website that Hank turns into Beast whenever he gets worked up. Hoult didn't confirm whether or not he is going to smash Magneto repeatedly into a tile floor, punch Mystique out of frame or call Bolivar Trask a "Puny Guy". But he didn't deny it.

Other than Kate Mara this cast makes zero sense to me. I just don't get it…at all.
Kind of sad because I was looking forward to what Trank did next.

The effect on their box office will be the same as if they had hired no-names off the street--trust me.

None of these actors are "up and coming" Hollywood talent...at least not strong enough to carry title roles like these. Ironically enough, the cast of the previous FF films were B and C-list actors too and yet they were MORE established than these young actors. So how did we go from that to this?

Terrible decisions. All of them. And unfortunately, these choices will reap the whirlwind at the box office--you can believe that. This film is coming behind not one--but TWO--FF critical and financial failures. The second film actually performed worst than its predecessor. Now, you have this collection of misfits who don't even resemble the Ultimate FF character line up?

I'm sorry but the mold is set. There is already so much working against this film. This WILL flop. And I don't give out flop prophecies lightly.

From the perspective of a Non CB guy:

- I could care less the race of Johnny. It just so happens that he's black in this film, but I can live with that. He's a good actor, who I thought would have gotten major awards consideration had Fruitvale Station been released later.
- I would have liked to have seen a Black actress as Sue, but it looks like they are going with the adoption/half sibling angle. Kate Mara is an interesting choice, although I would have gone with Emmy Rossum.
- Not a fan of the casting of Reed. As I have stated before I wanted Reed to be played by a guy who was in the age range of James McAvoy (34) and Michael Fassbender (36). The fact that Teller is a decade or so younger than Fassbender is going to be noticeable. He didn't have to be the same age as RDJ, Jackman or Ruffalo. Mara is 5 years older than Teller. My first choice was Benedict Cumberbatch. He's a year older than Fassbender but probably more believable as Reed than Teller.
- Jamie Bell will be an okay Ben Grimm. He wasn't my first choice, but he'll be a nice option.

Exactly. I get that there's a lot of history with the character, but his race, as far as I know, didn't affect any of his storylines. If it's a good movie, and the heart of the character is realized, then it shouldn't matter.

I think that Fox want this movie to be colorful and a light-hearted in tone, they're targeting younger demographic, those who liked Marvel's movies and TASM movies.

Fox's X-Men franchise is not exactly filled with jokes and takes a serious approach, so this Franchise is going to make movie that appeal to younger audience.

No, she's not. She's 30; he's 27 (the same age as MBJ and Bell).

Michael B Jordan is more than strong enough. Fruitvale Station and his performance in it was one of the most acclaimed films of last year.
