Is that the same review that says JJJ is at the Daily Planet? I hate it when they get this stuff wrong.

lol. No, that wasn't in there but it might as well have been. That Daily Star gave the movie a 2/5 yet there isn't one positive comment written about the movie. Why not give it a 1 or even a 0 if there's nothing positive worth noting.

Let's not worry. If you're reading reviews in the star you're not using it right.

Soooo many boobies. No one is ever going to see that. I didn't even think they used words in that paper. Just pictures and measurements.

lol. Well thanks for the clarification. I was unaware of the Star or its reputation. It was just another review to read, I wasn't taking it serious at all, especially when it's so clearly one-sided and poorly written.

Just going by what I read in the Hollywood Reporter review... Is the final scene of the film:

Spider-man vs. the mech Rhino? And is the final shot Rhino charging toward Spidey and shooting the rockets, Spidey swinging the man hole from the web and then right as he's about to crack Rhino in the face with the manhole - CUT TO BLACK.

Is this the end of the film?

Now --

If Gwen dies in the film (which apparently happens, though no one agrees HOW) -- isn't this a bit too "up beat" an ending after that dark of a climax? How is that explained?

I believe that the final moments of the movie will feature Peter really contemplating whether or not he even wants to be Spider-Man anymore. There's a few shots in trailers of him sitting in his room staring at his mask and tearing down his Oscorp/Richard Parker mystery bulletin board. I think this will be happening and a news report about the Rhino will come on his tv and he'll see the young boy he protected from bullies earlier in the movie wearing his costume in the face of the Rhino and he'll realize that he needs to be Spider-Man or else he'd ultimately be breaking the other half of Captain Stacy's promise. "This city needs you."

Since the General Discussion thread is closed I'll post this here.

That clip they showed on the MTV awards was pretty damn cool!

Teekay, have you seen the latest clip from the MTV awards? If so, can you say if that's all the dialogue there is between Electro and Spider-man?

I have yet to see this clip. Can't view it at work. Is it good? I heard they display the Spidey sense in it. Is the Spidey sense a bit different from what we've seen before?

Well, i can tell you that it's the definition of AWESOME. It kinda looks like what Raimi did in Spider-man 1. Peter basically knows everything that surrounds him.

It's the exact same as the one Peter has in the high school fight scene in SM1. Where everything just stops and the camera just moves around the area.
