Question Movie Titles - a what if question

I just put in Ghostbusters to watch.

Part of the draw of the movie as a kid was the infamous logo, the cool title and the theme song.

But what if instead of being called Ghostbusters it was called something less quirky like Paranormal Police or Ghostcatchers?

The movie itself wouldn't be any different really but would it have caught on as much?

Default Re: Movie Titles - a what if question

Depends on what it was. Ghostcatchers is pretty much the same thing but they do have marketing for things like this so anything like 'Paranormal spirit capturers and ghost haunting investigators' gets trimmed down for public consumption. Night of the living dead is a mouthful but something like Zombie attack in the night isn't as easy to sell.

Then we have things like Troll 2 which has no trolls at all or any connection to the original or a coherent plot...
