I know the excuse everyone is gonna say "it's a forum for discussion whether that be negative or positive" or the other usual "a thread where everyone only loved the movie and discussed it would be no fun, debate is good" blah blah. The discussion of disliking and hating it just goes nowhere. The film has been made and can't be changed, it is what it is. And there's also a way to discuss things without sounding ridiculous.
Indeed.

Something that's even worse is the constant high-horsing by some of the long time members here.

Oh well, complaining won't change anything.

Yep oh well. Like I said, I loved it. Was my favorite Spidey film yet. I'm ready to own it on blu ray and rewatch it with a big smile on my face Let everyone else be miserable and bitter haha. Must be so much fun.

If this was directed at me, I don't come here just to bad mouth the movie, I come here to discuss any new and relevant news. The new and relevant news just so happened to be ****.

Not at you, basically in general. A majority of the people here hated it. I'm in the minority that loved it.

Like I said more so in general not at anyone specific, because since the film came out in general it's just the majority is negative.

After rereading that Badass Digest article, I'm glad that Mary Jane was cut out, some of the things that were said within the article just looked dumb.

Not my favourite Spider-Man movie, but I still pretty much love it too.

Couldn't have said that better myself.

I remember being pretty satisfied in the cinema with this film, despite it's serious flaws.

I'm curious to see how it'll hold up on a second viewing.

Well.

Initially, t was a 6.9/10 for me, after my first viewing.

After my second viewing it became an 7.6/10.

After my third, most recent viewing, I'm at a 9.0/10.

Oh I don't think it'll go that high for me... but at least it was a definite improvement over The Amazing Spider-Man.

Well, that's not bad, though.

Yeah, I didn't expect my rating to go that high, either. Thought it'd settle around 7.7 - 8.2.

But I'm happy I've come out enjoying the movie even more.

I must be cray cray because I love both movies.

I think it's weird that they are including the "Peter meets his dad" scene in the Blu-Ray. That's just gonna confuse the average joe. I would rather get the Gobby Oscorp attack.

I wonder why they are excluding the Oscorp attack scene...

still, I love the heck outta the films. ASM2 is a huge step above ASM-1 (not that I am dismissing it---Ifans was frickin' awesome in that film. He played the definitive Jekyll/Hyde as Lizard.)

Edit: *dislike, not pretty.
There are plenty of people on the MOS boards talking **** about it. If you think that board is a peaceful place just because you opted out you are mistaken. And that film has been out for over a year and TASM 2 has been out for only a couple of months, of course the people who hated it are still *****ing about it. Things will die down a little eventually. I definitely won't be on here much in the coming months.

As a MOS fan I can tell you this is what happens when a Superhero film has a mixed reception. The forums are going to attract people who don't like the film and a couple of trolls and if you like the film obviously you aren't going to like that but you just have to suck it up and deal with it like I have to. It sucks but it's the way things are.

I think you may have misunderstood my post. You see, I find talking **** about stuff in general, a waste of time.

Whether it be ASM2, MoS, games, TV shows, or people, it's a stupid ass waste of time and energy.

Loved the movie. Counting down the days until I have the blu ray in my hands.
Will pick up the Target version with the extra disk if possible.

I think the problem personally comes from people thinking there opinions are facts rather than statement. I absolutely loved TASM 2, yeah it had its flaws but all movies do. People tend to forget no everyone disliked this movie. A lot of posters think its fact this is a horrible movie and not their opinion. Imo this is my favorite Spidey film and one of my favorite cbms. I can't lie though, it did disappoint me a littele and its disheartening to hear about the cut footage and some other things like that, but theres still a lot of positive.

Same. I am so ready. I can't wait to watch it on my tv at the highest possible settings. This movie was gorgeous onscreen. With TASM 1 I thought they did perfect translating it to dvd and I think they'll do the same here.
