I wish a Art of X-Men: Days of Future Past book would just release.

Wow thanks for compiling these.

These are brilliant. I actually like many costumes in the artwork as compared to the ones we got in the final cut.

Loving the concept art for the temple. The visuals for the future portion were some of my favorite in any film.

They really went all out with the detail of the temple against the beautiful colors of the snow backdrop.

I agree! I loved the mosaic decoration inside the temple too and made for some beautiful imagery.

What I loved most about the temple/monastery location is that it is a place of zen and peace and that is juxtaposed/contrasts with the dark future around them which I thought was quite a neat symbolism.

Even Simon Kinberg said he really wanted to push the X-Men to the farthest edges of the world in the mountains somewhere, plus he loves Indiana Jones and wanted a location that felt like Indiana Jones, almost Aztec, adventure, temple like and he thought of a Chinese Monastery way up in the mountains, away from the city. Plus it looked a little like a castle fort for the final battle at the end.

The underground bunkers in Russia did not work for me. Just looked very run-of-the-mill. I think Guy Dyas would've been able to make it work better.

The Himalayan Temple, however, turned out much better than the set pic! The area where they keep Kitty and Wolverine (and Xavier) was great too. From the trailers, it looked very cramped and almost TV-movieish but that characteristic worked in its favour especially in the meeting of Young and Old "Charles."

Agreed with the russian set, it looked so generic to me. would have preffered to see something more real, more authentic, maybe seeing the scenes on the streets, with a bunch of mutants hidden somewhere, or walking to their secret place, a more post-apocalyptic set, instead of another base, I dont get their obsesion with the damm bases. The interior of a destroyed building would have looked much cooler, a walking dead vibe, u get what I mean?

After watching "Apes" last night, I kinda wish they took that aesthetic for DoFP.

I thought the same when I watched the first trailer of Apes, if felt so apocalyptic and you really got a sense of that world that way

the Russian set was very meh as well. Out would've worked if they had refugees living in squalor in there.

I would have preferred the opening action scene to have taken place on the streets as well, maybe New York or Russia next to the Kremlin or something. Colossus could have punched a Sentinal into a building or something.

Make no mistake, the action scene was fantastic, but the Russian bunker set did look a tad generic. I LOVED the Chinese monastery/temple though.

Beautiful! I've loved the X-Jet in this series. It's nice to see a progression in design.

I wish there's an X-Men amusement park somewhere in the world. Something similar to what they do to Harry Potter.

I recently visited the Harry Potter Studio in London and I couldn't help but think that an X-Men studio featuring all these amazing sets and artwork would be really awesome. Sigh.

I agree. It should have been a better underground design, something more obviously Russian and not so much like a generic studio set.

And they could have shown Kitty running through the Russian streets with Warpath and then phasing them both down through the ground to their hideout when they realised the Sentinel ships were coming.

Even from the set pics, that scene looked so generic. I guess the consolation is they didn't spend as much time there.

I wish we could've seen the X-Jet used a lot more, definitely the interiors. Though the Rogue cut scenes might reveal a lot more of those.

there was some really nice concept art on facebook recently but i'm not sure it's official. They linked Magneto's portrait on the Facebook page but the guy (Dave Rapoza) had made tons of artwork for them and they all look really nice.
