Default Dc comics - wb with puppet strings = decent action superman flick

Simple as. The only way you will get a good franchise is if DC has a strong influence. Marvel has a greater control and thereby you rarely get studios being allowed to make stupid suggestions like oh say "Superman has a son" or "Batman in bats vs supes as a villain" or "Jack Black in a kooky comedy called Green Lantern".

There are problems with some of the marvel films but at least marvel can object to outlandish ideas like namor being a gay atlantean with a goldfish head and dreads. DC is owned by WB. If marvel in all its "relationships" with sony and fox and stuff is an equal partner in the creative bedroom then equally WB is the dominatrix and DC is the submissive meek slave hanging from the ceiling waiting to be punished.

If you want a superman film in which the comics and continuity is respected again hope that WB goes bankrupt or something and has to let dc comics go and be controlled by themselves.
