I too liked Batman givin the boy the do-hicky. It showed that Batman is infact not a monster.

Why should someone ignore flaws in a film? If the one-liners detract from the film, that is the fault of the filmmaker, not the audience. Even if it is a small flaw, it's not up to the viewer to make up for the films short commings with willfull ignorance.

When I think of Batman, I very rarely think of DKR Batman or DKSA Batman. The same goes for BAS Batman. Does he make for an intresting, enjoyable read though? I think so.

What i meant was he is the same character. he has the same integrity and honorability that made Batman such a great character.
Now, Miller has taken someone he wrote so well, and (excuse my language please) bastardized him. He's turned him into a child like person, who refuses to grow up and needs a young boy, who has gone through the worst trauma a child could go through, and is FORCING him to growup exactly like him.
He kidnapped Robin, murdered cops while trying to escape the kidnapping, and treats Alfred like s***, which the real Bruce would NEVER do.

Now that was the ony time in that entire movie, that 2 hours and 15 minutes of sheer brilliance that I was reminded that this was indeed hollywood. Even then, It was kinda funny hearing oldman say it. Besides that I think the one-liner's we're pretty damn good. IMO only though.

Bale's batman is definetly the best and most studied that i've ever seen, I don't think they should changed a thing. Somebody in another thread said this and I will completely agree with them. This was the first time I enjoyed Bruce Wayne's character as much, well, almost as much as Batman's on screen.

It is, actually, the first time I know I will remember an actors Wayne.
I cant for the life of me remember much about any of the other Waynes. A little of Michael Keaton comes to mind, mostly images. Though, I have to admit, I think a lot of it has to do with the writing and direction.

Batman used a gun in DKR.

Is BAS Batman the way I see him? No. However, again, it is an intresting, entertaining read. That plus the art makes me like the series.

• he should get rid of Katie Holmes
• he should add insurance to the Batmobile
• and i completely trust Bale with taking any liberties he wants with this role. after seeing him in American Psycho, the Machinist it's obvious what a fantastic method actor he is. when he give himself to a role he completely lends himself to the character and whatever that character calls of him personally. i feel he's the most passionate Batman ever... and yes, i'm even including Adam West. HA!

as far as the voice, absolutely necessary. distinguishes him from rich boy Bruce Wayne.

Hehehe, don't get me wrong, I love the scene as well. The poor kids all full of despair and "the other kids won't believe me" Batman tosses him the gizmo with that gleam in his eye as if to say, "oh yeah? Tell em to bite on this" LOL.

It's just when I do watch it I'm expecting the boy to say, "Wow, thanks Mean Joe" LOL!

I think Bale should try some variety in his Batman voice.I loved it but at times it sounded forced.

And if he smiles in the sequel i'd like them to cap his teeth. Otherwise thats not the smile of a billionare playboy. You've got to keep up appearances in a position like that.
