My Storm Script

My idea isn't to make a movie full of sci-fi and action ssequnces, but rather a drama about her life, with her power being influenced by her emotions. So far i have only the beginning ready, so critics, commentaries are appreciated.

1- EXT. GARDEN OF CAIRO’S HOUSE - NIGHT

A little GIRL, black, straight white hair and about 6 years old, plays in the garden of a mansion, running with a dog. It runs away, and she stays following it with her eyes.

GIRL
Hey, doggie! Come back!

2-INT. SAME PLACE

N’DARE and DAVID, PARENTS of the little girl, are in the dining room. The mother looks at the girl through the window.

N’DARE
So, David, when do you think we will go back to New York?

DAVID
I have no idea…aren’t you enjoying our time in Cairo?

N’DARE
It’s not that, I’m closer to my home country, I feel good in here. But I wonder if Ororo feels the same…she doesn’t have many friends.

DAVID
She is just a kid, dear, she will find some soon. Is the dinner ready?

N’DARE
Yep.
(she looks at the window and shouts)
ORORO!! Dinner!!!!

ORORO, a bit disappointed, turns to go inside. While she’s walking, a strange noise gradually gets louder. She looks at the sky. She sees a huge airplane, flying towards her house, now with a deafening sound. Close on ORORO’s face. She is in AWE, paralyzed, but manages to slowly put her hands on her ears. Her mouth is open. In slow motion, we see her face, tears filling her eyes but not coming down, the camera approaches her eye, until it reaches her pupil. CG intro with electricity and dna with waves until we see the TITLE.

Fade out.

3- EXT. HOUSE – NIGHT

The house is on fire. The airplane debris are all over. True CHAOS. Two more houses are destroyed and on fire. The firefighters arrive, and start working. We now see a little hand inside all the debris. It’s moving. ORORO’S hand. Shot of everything dark, we only partially see her face surrounded by stones. She’s whelmed, nervous, immobilized. Until she sees a leg in front of her. Her MOM’S leg. ORORO starts to scream desperately, calling her mom.

ORORO
MOM!!!! MOMMY!

We now see the face of N’DARE surrounded by debris. She stares at the girl, she cannot move, but she has a placid expression. One of the firefighters, who heard Ororo’s screaming, gets to the place.

FIREFIGHTER
Hey!! I need help! I found two alive!

More men arrive, and start helping, pulling out debris, until they reach the girl, and manage to take her out.

ORORO
MOM!!!!!

FIREFIGHTER
We’ll save her, girl, now go the car.

Another man, who is holding her in his arms, takes her to an ambulance car. She sits, and apprehensively watches the men trying to save her mom. Tears come down her face. In slow-motion, we see the dawn, as the firefighters still work. Day comes in, and they slowly give up. ORORO, shocked, hears a conversation between two men.

MAN 1
We’ll have to take her to an orphanage…

MAN 2
No family?

MAN 1
No that we know of…she’s from United States.
MAN 2
Government knows what to do…

ORORO reflects for a while. She suddenly RUNS AWAY, and the two men who try to catch her, aren’t able to do so. Various shots of her running through different places. She gets to an alley. She breathes hard and cry, sitting on the floor. She has bare feet and a shredded dress.
