The Fly, The Thing and TCM.
I hated MBV 3D with a white hot passion.

1. The Thing (Still the best remake out there)
2. The Blob (So freaking creepy and violent for it's time.) 3. Hills Have Eyes (Though it was unnecessarily brutual and about the only time I wanted to walk out of a theater because of the violence.) 4. Texas Chainsaw Massacre (I think the original is overrated and not scary. This at least was entertaining.) 5. Halloween (At least it tried something new instead of being a shot by shot remake like most people wanted it to be.) 6. Dawn of the Dead (Good, don't care for the running zombies though.) Everything else was mediocre, dull or just plain terrible (The Hitcher, Amityville Horror, Psycho, When a Stranger Calls, and especially My Bloody Valentine)

The Last House on the Left and Dawn of the Dead would be my two favorites.

In NO specific order
Halloween (2007) The Thing (1982) Night Of The Living Dead (1990) The Texas Chainsaw Masscre (2003) - it was pretty good, I guess The Last House On The Left (2009) Dawn Of The Dead (2004) - It was okay. Friday the 13th (2009) - if you consider it a remake. Personally, I don't. IT was awesome either way. The Hills Have Eyes - Meh, it was okay. Sadly, I have yet to see the remake of The Blob. However, I'll be watching it tonight.

John Carpenter's The Thing
1978 Invasion Of The Bodysnatchers (all of the other remakes suck) The Fly The Blob Everything else was mediocre at best. TCM should've had a scene where Leather Face and his family were sitting down to eat Jessica Biel's Friends. Rob Zombie should've left Michael Myers' past alone and just focused on making the movie scarier than the original rather than more violent and white trash than the original. I didn't even bother going to the remakes of many of the other movies listed. |

The Fly( Though, the sequel was awful) Invasion of the Body Snatchers The Blob That's all I can think of, off the top of my head.

My three favorites are "The Hills Have Eyes", "Friday the 13th", and "The Fly". To me, all of those were better than the originals.

I would mind seeing a reboot of the old 80's show Tales From the Darkside except featuring episodes from today's directors like Tarantino, Eli Roth, and Rob Zombie . I know some of the episodes were pretty lame but I'm a fan of it. Maybe if they made it more edgy and scary as opposed to campy. They show re runs on Chiller and the Sci Fi network to anyone to young to remember it.

It just occurred to me pretty much most, if not all, of the most well known US horror movies have been remade...
Psycho Night of the Living Dead Dawn of the Dead The Blob Invasion of the Body Snatchers Friday the 13th Texas Chainsaw Massacre Halloween The Last House on the Left The Hills Have Eyes The Omen My Bloody Valentine (though technically Canadian) and now A Nightmare on Elm Street. It won't be long before we get remakes of The Exorcist, Rosemary's Baby, and Child's Play.
