Default What has been worse for the Marvel Legends Line?

I’m relatively new to the figure game and collecting ML figures has become a very frustrating experience. Figures are released infrequently. And when they are realeased once a year or so they seemed to be released in limited quantities as Store Exclusives. Meanwhile I see a pegs full of new Marvel Universe figures including figures that never saw the light of the day in the 6 inch line.

So what has been worse:
Hasbro buying Marvel’s license and transitioning to the 3.75 scale

Or

Store exclusives?

Store exclusives... IMO

Hasbro has done some bad but also has done lots of nice things...

Foom, Blob, Anahilus, I like Ronan, the Thing from that FF wave is one of my favorite legends.

Lots of characters we never got under TB, like Cannonball, Domino, Mole Man, Sunfire...

I think the exclusives should be all to HTS. COM.

Walmart excs are a PITA to get...

Thing is If ML had stayed with Toybiz I think all those characters would have been made at one point or another. So that really isn't a plus in the favor for Hasbro to me.

like some one said,we woulda got most of em anyway from toybiz
toybiz most likely would have sculpted and used paint better though, and distributed better
the first 2 waves of hasbros did bad so they assumed the line was dead and didnt put alot of effort after that

hasbro is the root of it all... but it has alot to do with the fact of how they've run it into the ground... losing the comics/bases/baf's/quality. putting out too many exclusives and neglecting online, raising the price, making a 3'4 scale and promoting the hell out of it (something they never really did with ML's)

Maybe I did destroy it. But at least I wasn't the worst thing to happen to it!

Like Spideyboy and Rough!

I have to say both.

Hasbro hasn't been really giving a crap about the line & the store exclusives are killing it because they're usually peg warmers.

It's funny you know, about exclusives. They're basically a bribe from Hasbro/Mattel/Toy biz to a store to carry the toy line. Especailly Wal-Mart exclusives.

This is exactly how you killed Legends.

It was all you. I talked to Jesse Falcon. He specifically cites you as a reason for it failing.

I didn't get them from a scalper or anything, I got them from a comic shop who got them from a distributor who got them from Hasbro, if they could be found in Wal Mart I woulnd't have had to.

I started recently collecting too, mostly the X-Men characters. What are the chances the prototypes will be released? I'd kill for the Modern Havok, Madrox, and White Phoenix.
