Looks like a combination of the TASM/TASM2 suits. Would have been much better.

I know. It woulda fit the movie better too imo and helped it actually feel like a sequel. Plus THE BACK SPIDER IS STILL THERE LIKE FROM THE LAST MOVIE. The way they did the back of the costume in TASM 1 was literally my favorite thing about it

That suit is great. Still kinda prefer the one we got, though.

Looking back, I just feel bad for this film, and all involved. There's a lot I like about the TASM franchise, there really is. This just should have been better, it really should have, and it breaks my heart to see this happen to Spidey.

I really like Garfield's performance, and I love the chemistry with him and Emma Stone, far more than Maguire and Dunst. I love that they brought back the mechanical shooters, I love the way the costume looks. But there is just something very wrong about this film.

I feel far worse about this film, than I did for those horrible Star Wars prequels. This is just not how the Spider-man character should be treated.

It's like watching Peyton Manning in the superbowl. You know he's a lot better than what he showed on the field, and you just feel bad for the guy to go out and lay an egg in the bright lights like that.

To each their own, man. I'm very pleased with this movie, unlike most people.

Counting the days until it is in my hands. Just sad it couldn't come out a month earlier as I was in Florida last week and could have got the Walmart/Target special blu rays.

This was based on an early draft? Gwen broke her back in this. So we have the neck snap, the impalling and the her hitting her had on the ground. WOW. Man the writters probably had fun figuring out ways Gwen had to die. I wonder how many drafts were written by Orzi, Pinker and Kurtzman. Interesting read though especially peter meeting his father. That was nonsensical. I wanna see how that scene plays out on Blu Ray. I loved the graduation scene or the letter.

"9) The death of Gwen Stacy.*It plays out mostly the same in the original script... but Gwen, back broken, hangs on to life long enough to demand that Peter never give up. Because this is the same character who promptly broke his promise to Captain Stacy in*The Amazing Spider-Man, Peter quits being Spider-Man in the next scene."

...

Do people still believe in this imaginary directors cut where the Goblin breaks her neck?

Nope. The fact that the previous Spider-Man films didn't have director's cut means they won't be one for this one. The best case scenerio is what happened with SM3 when they released that book with all the BTS images of alternate scenes and what not.

All of those changes are really bad. But the film was bad so they may have been ok.

This for MJ:

"Her dad is an abusive drunk and she's a waitress who builds motorcycles in her spare time. She has a Spider-Man tattoo on her wrist, and she's clearly interested in Peter, who is totally hung up on Gwen"

Hmmmmmm so they are taking Megan Fox's job from Transformers 2 and giving it to MJ's dad while giving MJ her job from Spider-Man 1 and have her have a tat.

I'm actually ok with the tat depending on the size.

Meh, I'm glad MJ wasn't in the film. there was already too much going on as it is. The only thing I was looking forward to was seeing the Goblin neck snap. We might never see that again, ever:/

So, I guess the "Peter meets his father" deleted scene is just that.

So teekay, do you mind telling me what those deleted scenes and alternate takes were about especially Peter meeting his father?

I never saw the scene where Peter meets his father. It wasn't there. I was genuinely surprised when I found out about it. Also what kind of father is Richard? Abandons his child and continously watch him grow up and make him suffer unnecessary loss but just show up at the end and tell him the iconic line? What?

I'm kinda glad they didn't include the Richard Parker thing.

It'd be weird af, tbh.

He's a worse dad than Clark in Superman Returns.

Maybe he's like the ultimate version where he does look after him. He must've had some important stuff in his life.

But anyway m, tell me about the other scenes

I already mentioned them in my comparison review which is somewhere on this forum.
