Default November 6th, 2012: Campaigning, Early Voting, Election Day, And The Results!

We had a thread like this in 2008 and it was pretty popular. We are now one week out from election day. Early voting is taking place across the country. Has anyone taken part in early voting? Are any of you volunteering for a political campaign? Are you waiting to cast your vote on election day? Is anyone planning on attending or hosting an election night "watch party"?

This thread is for all things general election and election day! (Including crowd reports and the results!)

Discuss. :yay:

Wow, the old thread maxed out quick. Just waiting for Obama to stop being lazy and give his speech, and I can finally switch off of the news, lol.

Ironically the people who fear America having Sharia Law probably would love most aspects of it governing us. lol

They just want Biblical Christian laws based on the 10 Commandments.

Just look at the reader comments on the FOX News site. You are right, Marvelo.

I'll miss Dick Lugar in the Senate, only because I love his name.

Hollywood is happy today. Their guy won.

I'm surprised to hear word of actual increases in the voting rates among younger demographics. The apathy towards the process and the ambivalence towards the candidates that I've observed would not point to it. Good to hear regardless.

Jake Tapper‏@jaketapper

Obama won Hispanics 71-27, even better than 2008, which was 67-31.

I am having such fun with angry Republicans on Facebook. One woman labelled me a "trader" and then posted something so absurd that I don't really know what in the Hell it meant. If I had to guess it'd be something about Muslims and losing freedom and the end of America.

while he was down about 1000 votes a few minutes ago new count has come in and Graves is beating Bachmann by 187 votes(78% in)

http://www.cnn.com/election/2012/results/state/MN/house

What a sweet night if both Alan West and Michelle Bachmann lose, on the negative side both probably will get jobs at FOX

I heard that also and was like, "what?" There were a couple of other times where he seemed to change the word in the middle of speaking and it sounded weird.

I was so fired up last night not just because of the Obama win but from watching Fox. They down played every aspect of Obama's win. There was no hiding the hatred these people have for this man while failing to see it as a victory for the will of the people.

While I was watching Fox, I couldn't help but imagine the people there must see Obama as Chancellor Palpatine giving his speech to the Senate, destroying the republic and establishing the empire. lol

To say Barack f'ing killed his speech would be an understatement. Best I have seen from him since he first Iowa in January 2008. Just made me want to get up and say YES!

Nate Silver definitely is lucky, and going to have some ppl eating humble pie. Obama just grabbed Virginia, and will probably win Florida as well. By the time this is all finished he will have over 330, and be atleast 1 million ahead in the popular vote.

Now that it's all over, time to go to sleep or something, lol. Also, it was a good speech by Obama. Now I just hope he puts that into practice, because some big things are coming up that need a solid decision on. <-- Describes what I'll be doing if our country takes another credit hit because we refuse to compromise over taxation of the rich.
