and also... y'know I'd like to think that we didn't really get "Venom" in these movies. Much like The Lizard and Man-Wolf -- sure we got Eddie Brock or some version of him but we never got to see that union of Eddie and the Symbiote into this crazy villainous foe who regarded himself as "We" and was actually as sentient and menacing as anyone else. I keep thinking that what we got was the Symbiote instead. Not Venom. If that makes any sense.

One line I'd love to give Venom is during the ending fight. While MJ is trapped in the cab above and screaming,Venom should turn to Peter and say,"Jesus,Pete! Does that redheaded bit@h ever shut up??" I think they could've gotten away with that line in a PG-13 film.

Spider-Man 3 taints the trilogy for me. Venom's pathetic amount of screen time, Gwen Stacy's pointless appearance in the film, Sandman, retconning Uncle Ben's death, emo disco Parker, all of these I could have overlooked--and I realize how petty this is, but that's just me--had Harry worn a goddamn goblin suit. It would have made the film much more enjoyable for me.
