I found my Wii U usb/ethernet adapter and plugged it into the Switch. I don't know if it's because of the adapter being the older Wii U version, but my speeds with the ethernet are slower than my WiFi speeds. I'd be curious to see if the official Switch adapter can give better speeds. I want a decent connection when MK8, Splatoon and possibly SSB come around.

GameStop is getting bundles in next month that has a Switch, Zelda and a bunch of other ****. It's a $500 bundle though. I don't know why they aren't just selling them solo. Just sell the Switch and let people decide what extra crap they want.

That's 1.5 Million Units in 11 days.
The Nintendo Switch was obviously a highly anticipated launch. But the sales numbers so far blow that modest expectation out of the water. 1.5 million units have been sold worldwide in the first week since release. Nintendo's goal was 2 million in the first month.
A report from SuperData (via GamesIndustry) details the breakdown. 500,000 consoles were sold in the US while 360,000 were sold in Japan. So far, the only details we have from Europe are France with 110,000 and the UK with 85,000.
If Nintendo is looking to sell 2 million in the first month, and we're already at 1.5 million within 11 days, that's a pretty phenomenal start. The issue facing Nintendo currently is the limited stock of Switch consoles. It's already the fastest selling Nintendo console in America, even beating out the Wii.
If Nintendo can keep shelves stocked, there's no reason their expectation for March won't be met. Check out our review of the Nintendo Switch here.

There is still hope

To be or not to be, that is the questions Switch owner are asking themselves when it comes to Blizzard's massively popular shooter Overwatch, and according to the Big B, nothing is ruled out.
The Nintendo Switch had a great launch which has lead to a lot of developers have promised to support it, and on top of it all, Zelda got amazing scores. It all seems to be going rather well for the Switch, but it seems like Overwatch it still has a way to go until it comes to the console, if it ever comes. Overwatch director Jeff Kaplan explained their view on it over at Reddit.
"Getting Overwatch on the Switch is very challenging for us. But we're always open-minded about exploring possible platforms."
Seems like Blizzard has encountered some great challenges when either trying to or planning to make Overwatch for the Switch. That, combined with the increased production costs for Nintendos new system, might indeed make for some great development challenges. Kaplan also assures people that it is not a decision made to discriminate Nintendo gamers and said that he's "loving the Switch!" and that his "second favorite gaming platform of all time is the 3DS." Unfortunately, he did not reveal what his favorite platform was.
The door for Overwatch isn't closed, though it might take a while for Blizzard's critically acclaimed game to get there. In the meanwhile, Blizzard will keep on updating with fresh content.

This was put up in the metal gear thread it's too. wish it was the entire series but we'll have take what we can get.

Yes.

Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes was a remaster before remasters were much of a thing. In fact, it was more than remasters are today. It was really a complete rebuild of Metal Gear Solid from the original PlayStation. The only real thing left intact for this Gamecube release was the story. We may very well see this marvel again on the Switch. How?
Denis Dyack, former president of Silicon Knights, was answering questions on Twitter and one particularly interesting popped up. He was asked if it would be possible to have Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes on the Nintendo Switch. The answer Dyack gave was simple. "Yes."
Now let's do a little detective work: This doesn't mean it's confirmed. The question was: Is it possible. Could this simply be a clever way of saying anything is possible, or does Dyack know more about the rumored GameCube emulation for the Virtual Console on Nintendo Switch than we do?
Regardless of the answer, GameZone will have it when it's revealed.

Wall Street Journal: Nintendo to double Switch production

16 million units reportedly planned for the next fiscal year.

Nintendo has decided to at least double the production of its March 3-launched Switch hardware in the fiscal year ending March 2018, according to a Wall Street Journal report citing “people briefed on the plans.”

That means that in the coming fiscal year, which starts in April 2017, manufacturers under contract with Nintendo are now planning to produce 16 million or more Switches, up from the initial plan for eight million. This suggests Nintendo believes it can sell significantly more than 10 million units during the 12-month period.

The decision is said to be a result of popular demand for the system. The production pace of Switch’s first year of release is said to be in line with Wii, which launched in November 2006 and sold 20 million units by the end of 2017, and ended up selling over 100 million units in its lifetime.

Nintendo chief executive Tatsumi Kimishima has said the company would ship two million Switch units globally each month, but “one person familiar with production” told the Wall Street Journal that 2.5 million is more likely.

Nintendo will discuss Switch’s March sales and the outlook for the coming year when it reports on its latest fiscal year earnings on April 27.

A Nintendo spokesperson declined to comment to the Wall Street Journal.

Batman and Guardians Telltale Games To Come To Nintendo Switch
9 hours ago |

March 16, 2017

It looks like there’s a little ray of sunshine for gamers who’ve bought the Nintendo Switch.
Despite all of the reports saying that Nintendo’s newest console has had glitches and that heavy games like Dragon Quest are too large for the Switch’s native memory, it seems like the company is getting more games to jump on board, specifically the popular ones from Telltale Games.
According to a report by Gamespot, Nintendo Switch versions of Batman and Guardians of the Galaxy Telltale games have reportedly been leaked. A number of retailers have apparently listed down the two episodic games for Switch despite the fact that Telltale has not rolled out any official announcement regarding the matter.
365games from UK and GameBUy from Russia have listed down physical copies of Guardians of the Galaxy and Batman Telltale videogames are being made available in the format of Nintendo’s newest console. Meanwhile Newegg, a retailer from the US already has a product page for Guardians of the Galaxy.
The publication asked Telltale for a comment regarding the matter, and the answer is:
"Guardians of the Galaxy is slated to premiere digitally in 2017 on consoles, PC, and mobile devices,"
The representative however did not comment on Batman coming to Nintendo Switch. Like Switch, though Batman received generally positive reviews from gamers, it was also criticized for its technical issues. Telltale just might be fixing the game before they send it out to Switch.
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series is to premiere digitally on consoles, PC, and mobile devices this spring.

With Skyrim coming to the switch and Fallout 4 not really being that much of an upgrade, I expect to see it on the Switch at some point. I wouldn't expect any of their published titles like Doom, Dishonored or Prey though.

Capcom has always supported Nintendo though so thats not too surprising. I dont think that really has any bearing on the Western publishers and a shift in how they might support the Switch

Is this a serious tease for Injustice 2 on Switch or just more classic Ed Boon trolling? You decide.

A recent Twitter tease by the creative director of Injustice 2 has Nintendo Switch fans wondering if the fighting game could show up on their console.
In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, Netherrealm Studios’ Ed Boon posted an image of the Nintendo Switch logo to his Twitter account with green replacing the normal red design.
There was no apparent reason for Boon to post this image as a tribute to the holiday over any other. While nothing in the post’s comment alludes to Injustice 2 coming to the Switch, fans can’t help but get excited about it. It remains to be seen if this was a legitimate tease by the Injustice 2 head or just a troll, but the Nintendo Switch console would nicely accommodate such a fighting game.
Injustice 2 is slated to launch May 16th—only on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One for now—with a mobile version expected to land around the same time. In other Injustice 2 news, a new gameplay trailer for the game shows off the move set of one of the game’s feistiest female fighters, Cheetah.
