they're supposed to be twins. although that could change. still if that's the case are we to presume that Pietro's powers accelerate his aging too? Physically he looks to be late teens but maybe he's actually only 10 yrs old or so? Also Wanda could simply be appearing to be a little girl for one reason or another.

Why not? They're time-hopping in this movie, and spend a good deal of time in the past. We know that Kitty is central to the plot of the original DOFP, so maybe we've got Kitty in multiple timelines in the movie, too. Past Kitty, Present Kitty, Future Kitty.

In the Empire screenshots, Quicksilver is shown tagging along with Wolverine, Charles and Mags, so he evidently has a "high clearance level" for this story. So, if he accompanies the three major characters in their time jaunts, maybe he has a crucial scene in getting a young Kitty Pryde wherever she needs to be to "restore the time stream" or whatever.

I'm just not jumping to the obvious conclusion, since Fox has specifically said there'd be no Scarlet Witch in this movie. All we see is a little girl in a pink (not scarlet, mind you) dress, who looks about ten years younger than Quicksilver. Pretty big jump to start assuming that's Wanda.

I would not put it past Singer and his pet hacks to come up with some crap about Pietro aging faster as a side-effect of his speed. That's exactly the sort of **** they'd pull out of their asses and consider themselves brilliant for thinking of it.

I hope they don't have Quicksilver age quickly due to his powers. If that is true, would he still hold the mentality of an 8 year old?

In AAOU, I hope they go the more gothic route with Wanda's costume. It'll be interesting to see the twins dynamic with the rest of the team.

If I didn't know better, I would say Fox is purposely trying to sabotage QS and SW, so people won't want to see AoU.

Seriously though, I don't know how badly you could possibly f-up those characters, but somehow Fox managed to do it. I mean flaming cloud Galactus is genious compared to this.
