There has to be some relevant purpose for Theon to still be around right? Like he kills Euron and frees Yara? Some form of redemption?

Only way I can see it happen is if next season he'll jump on a grenade for the Starks so to speak...

Isn't that Theon we see in the preview collapsing on the beach in agony? I'm guessing things don't go his way this episode.

I don't think the showrunners know what to do with the Greyjoys anymore. Their storyline seems so removed from the rest of Westeros.

That's because they missed so much of their stuff out earlier.

I concur. If only we had more episodes to flush them out some more.

I think Euron will have a large role to play and, by extension, Yara and Theon.

I hope Theon dies. I still haven't forgiven him for betraying the Starks.

I'm not expecting Yara to have much more to do, Euron to do something critical and for Theon to have a self-sacrificial death to help out a Stark.

Euron's role is twofold I think, they've got his dynamic with the Lannisters and his dynamic with the other Greyjoys.

To the Lannisters, he serves as a wedge between Jaime and Cersei- he's the alternative partner, kind of like Jaime from Season 1 back when he still more of an charming villain with a cruel streak. So I think he's basically that bad influence on Cersei that's going to push her to her endgame as mad queen.

To Theon and Yara, he's basically Ramsay. The show, for whatever reason decided to remove Theon from his biggest storyline and give his role entirely to Sansa, so Euron comes in and basically serves as a Ramsay stand-in for Theon to eventually overcome and help him find personal redemption and peace.

I wonder if this is going to break 11m in terms of viewership.

I believe so. 10.24 million for the last episode which was slightly more than episode 4 but still 500 K of the 5th which is the highest ever. I don't see it lower than 10.8 million.

Cersei holding her stomach <3

Omg i completely forgot about Yara. I wonder if we will see her in the final? hope shes okay. I dont see her ever escaping tbh.

Theon is annoying but he did save lady sansa so i kind of forgive him. Wish he would smile. He used to be so happy

I can so do without the dany and jon romance but i'll be okay. As long as them two bores dont keep all the screentime to themselves

Arya can leave. she is cursed

I would love to see Ellaria Martell again, Indira Varma was so great in that dungeon scene with Cersei and her daughter. Her reaction to Oberyn's death was great acting too.

Running out of time for that, there's only 7 episodes left. Euron has "villain of the week" written all over him. He's the sub-boss to Cersei and the Night King. Even Littlefinger is a bigger villain than he is. If he doesn't die in the finale, I doubt he'll be around much longer in season 8.

At this point every human antagonist is "sub-boss" to the Night King. If Euron and Cersei live through this season then they probably have some big role to play in the last act of the show.

That is the question, isn't it. If Jon and Dany attack the Night King before they handle Cersei and Euron, who is really the "final boss"?

How touching, Jon might ride Rhaegal who is named after his daddy.

I will definitely feel cheated if this season doesn't end with the Wall falling. What better settup for season 8 could top that?
